On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that Allin was indeed hurt during the match with Knight, though the exact moment remains unclear. Alvarez mentioned that he speculated the injury may have occurred during the coast-to-coast dropkick delivered by Knight, but stressed that he could not confirm that this was the cause. What has been confirmed is that Allin was transported to a hospital after the match.
Alvarez clarified that Allin was not admitted for the full week. He was cleared to leave the hospital and eventually traveled home. As of now, the nature of the injury has not been disclosed, and no official diagnosis has been made public.
Regarding Allin’s future in the Continental Classic, Alvarez said that AEW’s on-air comment about expecting more information on Saturday’s Collision appears to be genuine.
