Ric Flair Says Creative Isn’t Using Randy Orton Properly – Ric Flair is once again putting a spotlight on Randy Orton, and this time, he’s making it clear that he believes WWE is not taking full advantage of one of its most accomplished stars. During an appearance on the Double Coverage podcast, Flair praised Orton as the best male in-ring performer in WWE today, while expressing disappointment in how the company has been booking the third-generation veteran.

Flair, who worked closely with Orton during Evolution’s rise in the early 2000s, explained that Orton’s talent and longevity continue to stand out. He noted that even though Orton appears content with his current schedule, there is still far more potential for WWE to tap into creatively. Flair said he would showcase Orton differently if he were handling the company’s booking, emphasizing that Orton’s skill level remains exceptional.

“Randy Orton, I mean, he’s third generation. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don’t utilize him the way I would if I was booker, but I’m not. So, he can still work his ass off. But, he’s making a lot of money. He’s doing good. He’s happy. And that’s all that matters.”

Flair also highlighted something he feels does not get enough attention: Orton’s long-term dedication to maintaining his physique without the use of performance enhancers. According to Flair, Orton’s commitment to staying in top condition is another reason he considers him the company’s most reliable male performer.

Orton has been away from WWE programming in recent weeks, but he is expected to return soon. He is advertised for the December 5 edition of SmackDown, which will mark his first appearance back from his current hiatus. With Flair’s comments circulating and fan interest high, the reaction to Orton’s return will likely be closely watched as WWE moves deeper into its year-end storylines.
