Xavier Woods Re-Signs with WWE on Multi-Year Deal – WWE has reached a new agreement with Xavier Woods, as the longtime star has officially signed a multi-year extension to remain with the company. According to Fightful Select, negotiations reportedly went “down to the wire,” with Woods finalizing his new contract in September, just as his previous deal was set to expire.
The new deal secures Woods’ place in WWE for the foreseeable future, keeping one of the company’s most decorated tag team competitors on the roster. Woods remains a vital part of The New Day, one of WWE’s most successful factions alongside Kofi Kingston and Big E. The report adds that while all three members had signed matching contract extensions in 2019, their current deals are no longer synchronized.
No details were provided regarding Kofi Kingston’s contract status, and while both Woods and Kingston have dealt with injuries in recent years, it’s unclear whether that time off extended their existing contracts.
Woods’ re-signing comes as WWE faces a series of contract departures. Several talents, including Jazmyn Nyx, Killer Kross, and Santos Escobar, have exited after failing to reach new agreements. However, Woods joins Bronson Reed among those who recently chose to stay with the company.
Throughout his tenure, Xavier Woods has been an integral figure in WWE’s tag team division. Alongside Kingston and Big E, he has captured 12 tag team championships, setting records and helping redefine modern tag team wrestling. Beyond the ring, Woods has built a strong presence in digital media as the creator and host of WWE’s UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, which is approaching 2.5 million subscribers. The gaming and entertainment platform has become one of WWE’s most successful digital ventures, cementing Woods as a key ambassador for the company both inside and outside the squared circle.
