The 38-year-old international star, known for his work in both Mexico and the United States, revealed on social media that he was leaving the promotion to pursue new opportunities. His last TNA appearance took place in May, competing in a four-way tag team match that also featured The System, The Rascalz, and First Class.
Following his announcement, Octagon Jr. — Laredo Kid’s frequent partner — has also been quietly removed from TNA’s active roster. Like Laredo Kid, Octagon Jr. has not wrestled for the company since May, when the two teamed up to defeat Judas Icarus and Travis Williams of Northern Armory. The duo, collectively known as the Aztec Warriors, had become a popular team during their run, delivering several standout performances.
Laredo Kid’s tenure in TNA was highlighted by high-energy matches against names such as Trey Miguel, Black Taurus (also known as The Beast Mortos), and Chris Bey. His biggest career milestone in the company came in 2024 when he captured the TNA Digital Media Championship, a reign that lasted 29 days before he lost the title later that summer. Despite its short length, the reign helped solidify his reputation as one of TNA’s most exciting and consistent performers.
Octagon Jr. spent most of his time in the tag team division, where he and Laredo Kid notched several victories against teams like The Great Hands and First Class. Although neither TNA nor the two luchadors have issued an official statement regarding their current status, their removal from the roster page strongly indicates that both men have officially concluded their time with the company.
