Beth Phoenix Gets Physical in AEW Debut at All Out – Beth Phoenix, introduced under her real name Beth Copeland, made a shocking on-air debut at Saturday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view during the Cope and Christian vs. FTR tag team match. This marked her first appearance in professional wrestling since teaming with Adam Copeland (Edge) to defeat Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023.
The surprise unfolded after Stokely Hathaway interfered on behalf of FTR. Ominous rock music hit the arena and “BETH” flashed across the entrance screen, signaling her arrival. Phoenix stormed down the ramp, dropped Hathaway with a powerful attack, and hoisted him onto her shoulders before carrying him backstage to neutralize the threat. With the odds evened, Cope and Christian regained control of the match. Despite several near falls from FTR, Copeland ultimately scored the victory after hitting a Spear on Cash Wheeler.
Following the win, Phoenix returned to the ring to celebrate. She embraced Copeland, who then shared a handshake and hug with Christian in a brief show of unity. However, the celebration was abruptly cut short when Mother Wayne appeared, wheeling Nick Wayne to the stage. This distraction opened the door for FTR and Kip Sabian to ambush Cope and Christian. Copeland was handcuffed to the ropes and urged Phoenix to escape, but she attempted to fight back. After landing several strikes, Phoenix was overpowered and viciously dropped with a spike piledriver by FTR before the attackers fled.
Phoenix’s unexpected debut not only reignites her wrestling career but also adds a new layer of intrigue to AEW’s ongoing storyline involving Cope, Christian, and FTR. Her involvement signals that AEW could be preparing for more appearances from the WWE Hall of Famer as the feud escalates.
