AJ Lee Dedicates WWE Return to Fans

AJ Lee Dedicates WWE Return to Fans – AJ Lee has officially broken her silence following her shocking return to WWE, dedicating her comeback to the fans who have supported her throughout her career.

Her return took place on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, where she made her first WWE appearance in over a decade. AJ came to the aid of her husband, CM Punk, after he was repeatedly slapped by Becky Lynch. Punk had warned that while he would never hit a woman, he knew someone who could step in for him. That someone was AJ, who stormed the ring and attacked Becky, leaving her shaken and ultimately carried backstage by her husband, Seth Rollins.

After staying quiet over the weekend, AJ addressed her return in a heartfelt post on Twitter/X. “You’ve had my back for a decade,” she wrote. “This run is for you, my wonderful weirdos.” Her message was aimed at her loyal fanbase, who have long campaigned for her return since her retirement in 2015.

AJ has now signed a new contract with WWE, and all signs point toward her being part of a blockbuster tag team match at the upcoming Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event on Saturday, September 20, in Indianapolis. The heavily rumored match would see AJ and CM Punk take on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. WWE has also advertised AJ to appear on tonight’s episode of RAW in Milwaukee, where it is expected she will set the stage for her official in-ring return.

Her last match in WWE took place on March 30, 2015, on RAW, where she teamed with Naomi and Paige (Saraya) to defeat Natalya and The Bella Twins. Since stepping away due to injuries, AJ has found success as an author and mental health advocate, largely staying out of the wrestling spotlight—until now.
