The setup unfolded in the night’s main event — a tag team match featuring Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed taking on LA Knight & CM Punk. The contest ended in disqualification after Rollins interfered, targeting Punk and Knight.
Before the beatdown could escalate further, Jey Uso hit the ring to make the save. However, once Pearce sanctioned the fatal four-way for Paris, chaos resumed. Punk and Knight came to blows, and Rollins ultimately stood tall, laying out all three of his upcoming challengers to close the segment.
The four-way stipulation ensures Rollins faces steep odds in his first major defense since regaining the title at SummerSlam, where he cashed in Money in the Bank on Punk. The bout also marks the first time these four competitors will share a ring in a singles championship context.
