Naomi Details Pregnancy, Reveals Fertility Struggles – Naomi shocked fans on Monday’s RAW with the announcement that she and Jimmy Uso are expecting their first child together. The news broke during Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, where Jimmy revealed the pregnancy before Naomi herself opened up about the journey.
In the full episode, Naomi shared that she found out on Sunday, August 10, while on the road for WWE. “I found out Sunday on the road, in my hotel room,” she explained. “I had been feeling a little different, a little weird. Wanted to take a test to make sure and rule that out. Not thinking because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. I really didn’t think it was possible.”
Naomi revealed that her doubts came from significant health struggles earlier in life. Before she debuted as a Funkadactyl, she underwent an oophorectomy to remove her right ovary. In 2020, she went through a six-hour myomectomy to remove large fibroids, which kept her off WWE television for six months. Doctors had warned that conceiving naturally might not be possible.
Jimmy added humor to the story, joking that he wasn’t “proceeding with caution.” He also noted how hard it was for Naomi to process the news while being Women’s World Champion. “She isn’t going to say this, but she felt like she let all her fans down. She felt like there is a step back because she is cooking. Timing is everything. I want to let her fans know; she loves them and she thought about them right off the bat.”
Despite the challenges, Naomi made it clear where her focus lies now. “It’s a lot to process, but I’m happy. I want to get through this healthy because I am high risk. I’m gonna have to get check ups more often, but everything is looking good. We’re off to a good start.” She revealed she is seven weeks pregnant.
