Vince McMahon Files Trademark for "14TH&I"

Vince McMahon Files Trademark for “14TH&I” – Vince McMahon has officially filed a new trademark related to his private investment venture, 14TH & I, further cementing the former WWE Chairman’s post-WWE business direction.

According to public filings, McMahon registered a trademark featuring a logo associated with 14TH & I, which is described as a private equity firm. The trademark covers two distinct areas:
Financial services including private equity fund investment services and financial portfolio management
Entertainment services involving the production and development of scripted television and digital programming

This move builds on the original trademark applications made on August 23, 2024, for the names “14TH&I” and “14TH & I,” which were also designated for use in private equity and entertainment production sectors.

The firm’s official description outlines a broad investment focus:
“A private investment firm focused on the sports, media, & entertainment sectors. We are a disciplined, flexible, long-term capital and strategic partner, primarily targeting buyouts/majority deals, as well as selective growth-oriented minority investments. We seek to partner with and empower exceptional management teams, providing deep expertise, capability, and relationships to help drive significant long-term value.”

The name “14TH & I” carries historical significance for McMahon. It is widely believed to reference the location of the headquarters of Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the promotion founded by his father, Vincent J. McMahon. That office stood at the intersection of 14th and I Streets in Washington, D.C., and served as a foundation for what would eventually become WWE.

This filing represents McMahon’s first major step in publicly branding his investment ambitions since stepping away from WWE and TKO Group Holdings in January 2024. His resignation came following a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, accusing McMahon of sexual assault, trafficking, and abuse. The civil case remains ongoing as of this writing.

McMahon’s entrance into private equity and media production signals that despite his controversial exit from professional wrestling, he is not retreating from the business world. By combining financial services with entertainment development under the 14TH & I brand, McMahon appears poised to launch a new chapter rooted in the industries he helped shape.
