Otis Undergoes Elbow Surgery – After nearly two months off WWE television, an update has surfaced regarding RAW Superstar Otis. According to a new report from Fightful Select, the Alpha Academy powerhouse recently underwent arthroscopic elbow surgery to address a lingering issue that has kept him out of action.
Otis’s last televised match took place on the May 5 episode of WWE RAW, where he suffered a loss to Rusev. Since then, he has been absent from both in-ring competition and Alpha Academy segments. The report notes that the procedure was exploratory in nature, designed to better diagnose and potentially correct the underlying elbow problem.
Despite the surgery, sources close to the situation told Fightful that Otis is not expected to remain on the sidelines for a prolonged period. There is optimism within WWE that his recovery will be relatively quick, although—as with any surgical procedure—his return timeline could shift based on how well the elbow responds during rehabilitation.
Otis, who has been with WWE since 2016, has built a solid reputation for his charisma and surprising agility, particularly as part of tag teams and comedic storylines. A former Money in the Bank briefcase holder and SmackDown Tag Team Champion, Otis has remained a reliable presence in the mid-card scene.
Fans are hopeful to see Otis return soon, and WWE has yet to officially comment on the status of his recovery or when he might be cleared to return to action.
