Jay White Pulled from Owen Hart Tournament Due to Legitimate Injury – AEW has announced that Jay White will no longer be competing in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. During the April 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Excalibur revealed that White had been attacked by The Death Riders before the show, leaving him unable to participate.
However, Fightful Select reports that White suffered a legitimate injury before the Dynamite taping at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. Due to this, AEW had to implement a storyline to explain his removal from the tournament.
Reports confirm that White will require surgery, though the exact nature of his injury remains unclear. His absence has reportedly led to significant creative changes within AEW.
With White previously declaring himself for the tournament alongside Hangman Page and Will Ospreay, his removal could impact the tournament’s structure and other ongoing storylines.
AEW has yet to provide an official statement regarding White’s recovery timeline, but updates will be provided as more details emerge.
