Shayna Baszler Signs New WWE Deal, More Signings Expected – According to Fightful Select, Shayna Baszler has signed a new contract with WWE, securing her future with the company as her previous deal was set to expire this year. While the exact length of the new deal remains undisclosed, it is confirmed to be a multi-year agreement.
Baszler has been described as easy to work with by WWE staff, with one higher-up noting her significant contributions, especially in mentoring newer talent. Since joining WWE in 2017 after transitioning from her MMA career, Baszler has enjoyed considerable success, becoming a former NXT Women’s and Tag Team Champion. More recently, she’s been featured on Raw alongside Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark as part of the “Pure Fusion Collective,” where the trio has been given a strong push.
Baszler’s signing comes as WWE has been securing new deals with key talent, including Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and most recently Asuka. However, WWE still faces some expiring contracts, with Kevin Owens being one of the notable names whose current deal has only a few months left.
Dave Meltzer, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that WWE is actively negotiating with several stars whose contracts are nearing expiration. While Asuka’s new deal was publicly confirmed, there may be more re-signings in the works, although WWE has not made further announcements at this time.
“WWE went to a number of people whose deals are coming up over the next several months to sign new contracts. Asuka was announced publicly. There may be others but WWE did not confirm them.”
