MJF’s girlfriend, Alicia Atout, who is a backstage interviewer for AEW, overheard the remark and relayed it to MJF. This led to MJF confronting Baker, resulting in a heated argument. The report also mentions that Will Ospreay spoke with Baker about the situation, and that Baker was unhappy with Atout for passing along her comments.
According to additional details from Fightful Select, the tension between MJF and Britt Baker has been brewing for some time, with the two having a falling out last year despite previously being friends. AEW’s HR department conducted an investigation into the incident, which ultimately led to Baker’s suspension.
Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming since this incident but is expected to return in time for her scheduled match against Mercedes Moné at the upcoming All In pay-per-view later this month.
