The Creed Brothers Reflect on Their WWE RAW Debut – The Creed Brothers, former NXT Tag Team Champions, made a memorable WWE Raw debut on October 30, taking on Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) and securing a victory over the former Raw Tag Team Champions.
In an exclusive WWE Raw interview, The Creed Brothers, accompanied by Ivy Nile, shared their thoughts on their debut.
Julius Creed expressed the significance of facing Alpha Academy and the emotional aspect of their debut. He mentioned the special connection they felt, as they had watched Gable and Otis compete in amateur wrestling during their upbringing. He remarked, “Those are guys that we watched compete in the sport of amateur wrestling growing up, so to share the ring with them tonight was special. The Raw audience has only known us a very short amount of time, but we’ve known Raw our entire lives. We grew up watching this show, so at moments in today, I found myself kind of getting caught up with emotion, knowing I was gonna get to go out there on Monday Night Raw with my brother, something that we’ve wanted to do our whole lives. It was a cool moment for sure.”
Brutus Creed, when asked to share his thoughts, also conveyed his emotions and surprise at the crowd’s support. He described their win as shocking, given the formidable competition in Alpha Academy. He said, “I’m choked up too, thinking about it. It was amazing. We went out there, and the crowd at the end cheered even more when we won. That was shocking and surprising to me. I didn’t know what to expect. We went against the best we’ve ever gone against, and we came out on top. Not only did we come out on top, but the crowd was behind it, and that was surprising to me.”
Ivy Nile, who German suplexed Akira Tozawa during the match, explained her actions by stating that Tozawa was in her way. She alluded to a confrontation with Maxxine Dupri and her need to put her in her place, which is why she engaged with an Alpha Academy member. Nile stated, “Tozawa was just in my way. Me and Maxxine were having a little stare-off, a little moment because for some reason, I think she thinks she can go toe-to-toe with The Pitbull, so I gotta check her a little bit.”
Julius Creed concluded the interview by expressing their enjoyment of the night and their focus on their upcoming match against Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo on the October 31 episode of WWE NXT.
