Alberto Del Rio made his Impact Wrestling debut at tonight’s TV tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and is now being billed as ‘Alberto De Patron’.
As noted earlier, Alberto was spotted at today’s tapings and was revealed to have signed a new deal with the promotion. According to a live report, Alberto was introduced by Bruce Prichard as TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley’s next challenger. Prichard said no one in Impact Wrestling could beat Lashley, so Alberto made his way into the arena. EC3 came out and disputed Alberto going to the front of the line, saying he needed to earn his shot, but Lashley says he already beat EC3 so that’s not happening, and Lashley versus Alberto is made official.
