Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno win Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after defeating Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in the tournament final on the November 4 episode of WWE NXT.
The victory culminated a six-week tournament on The CW Network, with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appearing live to present the trophy and deliver a major announcement to the newly crowned winners.
High-Octane Finals Feature Heavy Hits And Strategic Counters
Hank and Tank set an aggressive pace early, utilizing double-team power moves to trap Moreno in their corner. However, Dar and Moreno gradually altered the momentum using rapid tag sequences, speed, and technical joint locks:
- Brawling Outside: Action spilled onto the floor near the commentary desk, where Moreno neutralized the heavyweights with a diving splash off the barricade.
- Crucial Kickout: Hank and Tank executed consecutive splash variations onto Dar, but the Scottish star managed to kick out at the last second.
- Submission Turnaround: When Hank and Tank signaled for their signature Honk-Honk combination, Dar and Moreno countered into simultaneous ankle locks to wear down their opponents.
In the closing sequence, Hank connected with a Bossman Slam on Dar, but Moreno broke up the pinfall attempt. Dar and Moreno then executed stereo Cross Rhodes—a nod to the special guest on commentary—followed by a high-low kick combination, allowing Moreno to pin Tank for the three-count.
Cody Rhodes Presents Trophy And Outlines Championship Prize
Following the contest, Cody Rhodes entered the ring to present Dar and Moreno with the trophy in honor of his late father.
Rhodes then revealed the ultimate prize for their tournament victory: Dar and Moreno have earned an official match for the NXT Tag Team Championship scheduled for next week’s broadcast. The pair now transition from tournament dark horses straight into top division contenders.
