Concerns over potential injuries following Wednesday’s chaotic AEW Blood & Guts special have been cleared up, with initial reports confirming no major medical setbacks among participating wrestlers.
The broadcast opened with the women’s division stepping inside the steel structure and closed with a chaotic men’s main event, delivering non-stop weapon spots, high-risk falls, and heavy bleeding.
Health Updates Following Violent Double-Header
Despite the extreme physical toll exacted during both broadcasts, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline reported that every wrestler involved cleared medical checks cleanly:
“It appears everyone in both Blood and Guts matches are OK,” Alvarez shared.
Minor Scare Involving Darby Allin
The only major scare of the night occurred during the men’s main event, when Darby Allin experienced a momentary dental concern following a awkward landing:
“There was concern about Darby’s tooth after, of all things, his own knee hit his face on a Michinoku driver bump, but turned out he was OK,” Alvarez clarified.
The clean bill of health marks a significant contrast to previous installments of the signature cage match, which frequently resulted in minor concussions, lacerations, and sidelined performers.
The women’s opener saw Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, and TBS Champion Queen Aminata defeat their heel rivals. Later in the evening, the Don Callis Family—comprising Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle—secured victory over their opposing team to close out the show.
