WWE Announces Multi-Year Deal for Wrestlepalooza Perth and Australia Takeover Events

WWE Announces Multi-Year Deal for Wrestlepalooza Perth and Australia Takeover Events

WWE is officially heading back to Australia as part of an expansive, multi-year agreement.

An official press release confirmed that WWE has signed a three-year partnership with Tourism Western Australia. The deal will bring annual weekend takeover events—featuring major television broadcasts and premium live events—to Perth from 2026 through 2028.

December 2026 Schedule and Event Details

The first installment of the new deal will take place during the fourth quarter of 2026. Perth’s RAC Arena will host three consecutive major shows in December:

  • Friday, December 11, 2026: WWE SmackDown
  • Saturday, December 12, 2026: WWE Wrestlepalooza: Perth
  • Monday, December 14, 2026: WWE Raw

Wrestlepalooza: Perth will mark the second edition in the event’s history, following the inaugural September 2025 event that featured a high-profile main event between John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

Scheduling Impact on John Cena Classic and Roster Availability

The confirmation of Wrestlepalooza: Perth introduces an interesting scheduling dynamic for WWE’s calendar. Recent industry reports indicated that management was considering December 12 as the target date for the inaugural John Cena Classic, a specialized event designed to pit main roster talent against WWE NXT stars. How WWE plans to adjust or reschedule that event remains unconfirmed.

The return to Western Australia builds upon WWE’s previous international stops in the region, including Elimination Chamber 2024 and Crown Jewel 2025.

Australian stars on the main roster include WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, The Vision’s Bronson Reed, and Grayson Waller. However, Ripley’s availability for the December event remains uncertain as she continues recovering from recent knee surgery.

Fan Experiences and Ticket On-Sale Dates

Fans attending the Perth takeover weekend will have access to fan experiences, including official meet-and-greets, merchandise stores, and community outreach initiatives.

Three-event combo tickets covering SmackDown, Wrestlepalooza, and Raw will go on sale starting Thursday, September 10.
