WWE Expected to Add New Talent Including Hiromu Takahashi and Richard Holliday

A new report from Fightful Select indicates that WWE is preparing to bring in additional talent, including both wrestlers and a referee, as the company continues to build depth across its roster.

Among the names discussed is Hiromu Takahashi, whose potential move has been rumored since May. Takahashi recently departed NJPW and is expected to join Naraku, the former EVIL in NJPW, as part of WWE NXT. According to the report, Takahashi is likely to compete under the newly trademarked name Nox Raijin.

Another name mentioned in the report is Richard Holliday, a former MLW standout. Fightful sources noted that Holliday “could be signed soon if he isn’t already,” suggesting that a deal may already be in place or close to completion. The 33-year-old has had multiple tryouts with WWE in the past, and at one point, he was reportedly considered for the Mr. Elegance role in TNA.

Holliday is best known for his time in MLW as part of The Dynasty faction alongside MJF and Alex Hammerstone. During his run, he established himself as a consistent presence within the promotion and gained recognition for his character work.

In 2024, Holliday made two appearances in AEW. One came in a short tag team match where he teamed with Alec Price in a loss to LFI. That appearance drew attention due to the post-match angle, where Holliday was attacked while being examined by a doctor. His other AEW appearance was a dark match loss to Serpentico.

At this stage, there is no confirmed timetable for when Takahashi or Holliday could appear on WWE or NXT programming. The report also did not provide specific details regarding the referee mentioned as part of the incoming group.

As WWE continues to evaluate talent and expand its roster, these potential additions could play a role in shaping future storylines, particularly within NXT.
