Sheamus Teases WWE Return With Training Photos After Shoulder Surgery

Sheamus has sparked fresh speculation about his WWE in-ring return after sharing new training photos on social media.

The former World Champion has been out of action due to a shoulder injury, but his latest update suggests progress in his recovery. Sheamus recently visited the WWE Performance Center, where he got back inside the ring for training.

He posted a series of photos from the session, offering fans a glimpse into his current condition and preparation. The images showed him working alongside WWE NXT talents, including Myles Borne, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger. He also shared a post-training image that revealed visible welts on his back, indicating the intensity of the session.

“A fun day.”

Sheamus WWE return update after injury

Sheamus has been sidelined since late 2025. His last match took place on the November 17, 2025 episode of WWE RAW, where he teamed with Rey Mysterio and John Cena. The trio secured a victory over The Judgment Day, which included Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.

Following that appearance, Sheamus was expected to take part in John Cena’s “Last Time is Now” retirement tournament. However, those plans were scrapped due to the severity of his shoulder injury. He later underwent surgery in December to address the issue.

Now 48 years old, Sheamus appears to be steadily working toward a return, at least based on his recent activity. Training at the Performance Center is often a key step for WWE Superstars preparing for in-ring action, but it does not guarantee an immediate comeback.

At this time, there is no official confirmation from WWE regarding his return timeline. While the photos have generated interest among fans, his status remains uncertain until further updates are provided.
