Jacob Fatu has officially acknowledged Roman Reigns after their Tribal Combat match at WWE Clash in Italy, where Reigns defeated Fatu to retain his position as the Original Tribal Chief.
The stipulation of the match required Fatu to acknowledge Reigns if he lost, and that moment played out during the fallout on June 1 RAW. Although Fatu arrived late, he did appear and addressed the outcome in front of the WWE audience.
Fatu made it clear that he understood the stakes going into the match and accepted the consequences that came with it.
“At Tribal Combat, I knew what I was getting myself into and I know the repercussions. I knew what would happen if I walked out with that title last night. I know what would happen if I had lost.”
He reflected on his personal journey, pointing out that setbacks are nothing new to him.
“I’ve taken ‘L’s my entire life.”
Fatu then addressed the emotional weight of the loss, especially with his family watching.
“In front of the whole world, including my children, I took a loss and I will keep my word. I lost to my Tribal Chief.”
He also made a pointed remark toward Jey Uso, distancing that rivalry from the result.
“I didn’t lose to your punk ass Jey. Let’s keep it 100.”
Fulfilling the match stipulation, Fatu turned to Reigns and formally acknowledged him. He took a knee and raised his hand, signaling respect. Reigns responded by shaking his hand and helping him back to his feet.
The moment ended with a show of unity, as Reigns told Fatu, “I love you.” Jimmy Uso also addressed Fatu, making it clear that he is now aligned with them while calling it a warning shot.
The segment marked a major development in the ongoing Bloodline story, with Fatu now falling in line under Reigns following their high-stakes encounter at Clash in Italy.
