Mason Rook — Contract Segment
Robert Stone stood in the ring with a contract in hand and security lined across the apron. He said the landscape of NXT had changed — talent from all over the world wanted to make NXT their home. Tonight, he was bringing out someone whose new home would be NXT. Stone introduced Mason Rook.
Mason asked, “Who is Mason Rook?” He said he’d traveled all over Europe, been to Japan, been everywhere — and everywhere he went, he turned heads. John Cena noticed him. And why wouldn’t he? It’s hard not to notice a flying human tank. But was he satisfied with people talking about him in pubs? Was he satisfied going viral a few times? He said he wasn’t. He wanted more.
That’s why he came to NXT. He said he wasn’t the best super‑heavyweight — he was the best any weight. And whoever stepped in the ring with him would learn that when you stand in front of a tank, you get crushed.
Tony D’Angelo’s music hit. Stone begged him not to do it.
Tony said Mason wanted his attention — and now he had it. You attack him once, you’re seizing the moment. Twice? Not so much. If Mason thought he was going to make his name at Tony’s expense…

Emily asked JJ what OTM meant. He said it meant overcoming adversity.
Emily then asked Bronco something about Lucien. Bronco said people didn’t see that Lucien was quiet and intelligent — and that he was an artist.

Dark State stood in the ring as Dion said the champions looked far too comfortable with those titles. They were here to remind everyone who was in control. Saquon said it was all about control — and Cutler and Osiris didn’t have any. He asked Dion if he saw what they did to Hank and Tank last week.
Ricky fired back, asking if they really thought beating Hank and Tank earned them a title match. Brad said they had no shot. Vanity Project were the ones who took the titles from them, and that was why Saquon and Dion had been at each other’s throats for weeks. They didn’t hand out opportunities.
Cutler said they never got their rematch, so they were cashing in. Stone had already approved it, and they were winning the tag titles next week. But it wouldn’t be him and Osiris — they needed to get back on top, and they needed to be united. This was on them. Osiris added that Vanity Project had their own match coming up. When they were on the same page, nobody could touch them. Get the titles back, or Dark State would have to change.
Dion and Saquon suddenly shoved Ricky and Brad off the apron, sending Vanity Project crashing to the floor.

- Tag Team Match: ZARIA and Nikkita Lyons vs. NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain

NXT Preview – May 12, 2026
Zaria teams with Nikkita Lyons tonight as they face Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain in tag team action. After Zaria declared her intention to challenge for the Women’s North American Championship last week, Rain stepped forward to make her own ambitions clear. That confrontation drew out Lyons — who Rain defeated on the April 28 NXT — and the situation erupted into a four‑woman brawl. Now, all four competitors meet officially with championship implications hanging over the division.
Naraku (formerly EVIL) steps into a WWE ring for the first time tonight. His arrival on April 28 came moments before a chaotic fight broke out involving NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, Tavion Heights, and Mason Rook. With his intentions still unclear, Naraku’s in‑ring debut is expected to shed light on where he stands in the NXT landscape.
Kendal Grey returns to singles competition as she takes on former Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan. Jordan scored a win over Grey’s WrenQCC partner and current Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair on April 28, giving tonight’s matchup added personal stakes for Grey.
Noam Dar competes on NXT for the first time since losing the Heritage Cup on the April 22, 2025 episode. He faces Jackson Drake of Vanity Project, who recently welcomed Myca Lockwood into the group. Dar stepped in last week when Romeo Moreno found himself cornered in a backstage confrontation with Vanity Project, setting the stage for tonight’s clash.
In six‑man tag team action, Lexis King, Uriah Connors, and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo of Birthright take on EK Prosper, Tate Wilder, and Sean Legacy. With tensions between Birthright and Prosper’s circle escalating in recent weeks, this matchup continues a rivalry that has been spreading across multiple divisions.
