WWE SmackDown Results – April 3, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage results of WWE SmackDown on April 3, 2026, from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri!
We are live from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to start the show.
Randy Orton asks St. Louis what they want to talk about, mocking Cody Rhodes’ signature line. He reminds the crowd that this is his hometown and says he still calls St. Louis home. Orton tells the audience that the next time he walks into this arena, he intends to have number fifteen — his fifteenth world title — around his waist. He makes it clear he isn’t doing this for the fans. He’s doing it for himself, for his family, and for the six people sitting in the front row.
Orton says that at WrestleMania, he’s walking out of Las Vegas as champion. Cody Rhodes, no matter how he leaves the stadium, is going home empty‑handed. Orton recalls Cody giving him his blessing to be “the Viper” again — to listen to the voices and do whatever he has to do. Orton says he saw those voices talking to Cody on Monday, and Stephanie was right: Cody cannot beat him. The voices agree. Cody isn’t a killer, and whatever he has awakened inside Orton cannot be put back to sleep.
Cody Rhodes’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring.
Cody Rhodes hits the ring and immediately trades punches with Randy Orton. Cody gains the advantage and drives Orton into the corner with repeated strikes. As Cody keeps swinging, Pat McAfee suddenly slides into the ring and kicks Cody low.
Pat and Randy exchange a quick look. Pat kicks Cody again while Orton rolls to the floor and grabs a chair. Pat takes the microphone from Orton, and Orton jabs Cody in the ribs with it.
Pat mocks the city, saying the Rams left, the Blues won’t make the playoffs, and “the Blues are ass.” He says Randy already told them this isn’t his home anymore, and tonight isn’t a good night for St. Louis. Orton smashes Cody with the chair.
Pat explains why he’s here. About a month ago, he was doing a Q&A and was asked when he would return to WWE. He said he thought the business had passed him by. Pat McAfee says the business he loved had become “absolute s***.” He says Randy Orton called him and told him the business didn’t pass him by — it simply went in a direction neither of them liked. Pat asks why fans have to sit through “two 5‑foot‑5 guys doing a 45‑minute Iron Man match for ten weeks” when Randy Orton is right here. Why should he have to watch people in gorilla position when Randy is around? Why are there still WrestleMania tickets available when Randy Orton is on the card?
Pat says SmackDown is coming off its worst ratings and has a champion who’s a puppet. He tells Randy to kick Cody’s ass.
Pat says he was the one on the phone telling Randy he had to “kill everything.” Not just for his fifteenth world title — but because the business Cody is leading is terrible, and Randy Orton is going to save the business.
Results for WWE SmackDown on April 3, 2026, continue after a break.
– We are back and Pat says Mission Accomplished. Pat and Randy drive away, leaving the arena.

Uncle Howdy vs. Tama Tonga
Tama Tonga swings for a clothesline but misses, and Uncle Howdy immediately reaches for the Mandible Claw. Tama blocks it and Howdy drives a knee into his midsection before sending him into the turnbuckles. Howdy follows with kicks, but runs straight into an uppercut. Tama unloads with punches and chokes Howdy against the ropes. He headbutts Howdy, kicks him down, and snaps him across the top rope. Howdy rolls to the floor.
Tama follows and hits a forearm as they brawl at ringside. He sends Howdy into the steel steps and stomps on his hand. Tama rolls back inside to break the count, then throws Howdy into the barricade and keeps punching. Tama leaps off the ring steps with a forearm before rolling Howdy back into the ring and continuing the assault with more strikes.
Tama Tonga hits a sliding clothesline and follows with punches to the back of Uncle Howdy’s head. He chokes Howdy on the ropes, then drives elbows into him in the corner before landing a dropkick. Tama applies a nerve hold, but Howdy fights out with elbows and punches. Tama cuts him off with a clothesline, then hammers him with double sledges to the back and kicks him down in the corner. Tama slides back into position and charges for a corner splash, but Howdy catches him mid‑air with the Mandible Claw.
Solo Sikoa suddenly appears on the stage holding the lantern — despite insisting earlier he would stay in the back. The distraction allows Tama to shove Howdy into the ropes. Tama and Solo argue, and Tama turns around into Sister Abigail. Howdy covers him for the three‑count.
Winner: Uncle Howdy
After the match, Solo insists he was trying to help, but Tama says he didn’t need it. Tama takes the lantern from Solo and places it on the mat for Howdy to retrieve. Howdy picks it up while Tama blocks Solo from taking it back.

Kit asks if they just got themselves a title shot.
The show cuts to a break. We will be back for more WWE SmackDown results for April 3, 2026.
We Hear From Jacob Fatu
Jacob Fatu appears in a darkened backstage setting and says this is what it comes down to — him and Drew McIntyre, one‑on‑one, at WrestleMania. He mocks the idea of an “unsanctioned” match, saying his entire life has been a rollercoaster. When you come from the gutter, you become a product of your environment. Fatu says this isn’t about right or wrong. Every day and every decision has led him to this moment. In this match, there are no rules, no one to stop him, no one to break it up, and no one to tell him what he can or cannot do to Drew’s “punk ass.” Drew is stepping into his world — and we’ll see if he makes it out.
Backstage:
Sami Zayn walks with a big smile and asks Nick Aldis if he arranged pyro for his celebration tonight. Aldis tells him he didn’t give Sami anything — Sami made his own spot. Sami heads toward the ring, but before he can step through the curtain, Trick Williams’ music hits.
In the Arena:
Trick Williams’ music hits just as Sami Zayn is about to make his entrance. Trick walks out with Lil Yachty at his side. Trick says he came out to celebrate his first WrestleMania match, and since the show is bringing out stars, he figured he’d bring out his boy Lil Yachty. Yachty congratulates Trick and calls him a legend in the making.
Trick says he didn’t bring Yachty out here just to celebrate — he wants him at WrestleMania with him. Trick says there’s nothing he won’t do to win the United States Championship. He’s not taking any lip from “some gingerbread man.” Trick repeats himself, louder.
Lil Yachty tells Trick he’s being disrespectful. Trick says he can get even more disrespectful. He climbs the turnbuckles and calls for Sami’s pyro.
Sami Zayn tells Trick Williams he clearly has his celebration ready, and that’s fine, but pageantry has never been his thing. Sami says he’s more working‑class — he cares about what happens when he steps between the ropes. At WrestleMania, 50,000 seats will be pointed at the ring, and none of the fur coats or rap superstars will matter. Trick will be standing across from one of the best, and Sami promises to humble him.
Trick says “ginger snaps” is pretty upset. He tells Sami there’s something he forgot to mention — the only reason Sami has the United States Title is because of him. The only reason Sami is even going to WrestleMania is because of him.
Carmelo Hayes’ music hits, and he walks to the ring. Hayes says he can’t sit back and let this happen. He tells Trick they have history, and he’ll get his receipt — he’ll spin the block on him, and he knows exactly where to do it. But first, Hayes says what Trick did last week didn’t sit right with him or anyone else. Hayes says he carried SmackDown and the U.S. Title on his back. Trick took the title and ran it across the goal line from the one‑yard line. Hayes says if you listen to the people, they don’t want Sami — they want Melo.
Hayes tells Sami to listen to the crowd and give them what they want. He says he isn’t asking — he’s telling Sami to give him his rematch.
Trick marches into the ring, getting in the middle of it for no clear reason.
Sami says he thinks the world of Hayes. He acknowledges Hayes carried SmackDown with the open challenges and says he takes nothing away from him. Sami reminds him he answered the open challenge and beat him — even if he didn’t intend for it to happen that way. Sami says Hayes can get a title match, but it will be after WrestleMania.
Trick pushes Sami to give him the shot instead.
Sami says Trick has a point. If Trick hadn’t interfered, would Sami have beaten Hayes? Maybe — but Trick did get involved. Sami says the same thing happened to him with Cody. It’s the same situation here, and this time it benefits him. He’s happy he’s going to WrestleMania, but he still has issues to settle.
Carmelo Hayes tells Sami Zayn to make the match. Sami agrees — if Hayes wants his rematch, he gets it tonight. Trick Williams mocks him, saying “ginger snap” could have saved everyone five minutes. Sami fires back by clotheslining Trick over the top rope to the floor.
Backstage:
Solo Sikoa confronts Tama Tonga and asks why he did what he did. Tama says he had to — the lantern was tearing them apart. They need to get back to business and take all the titles. Solo agrees. Once they’re done with the Wyatts, they’ll get back on track.
We will return after a break with more results from the April 3, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Black slams the arm against the barricade and then the ring post. Cardona manages to run Black into the turnbuckles, and Black misses a move off the ropes. Black recovers with a kick and a suplex for a near fall.
Black wraps Cardona’s arm in the ropes, but Cardona forces separation and sends Black to the floor. Cardona lands a kick and tries for a Tiger Driver, but he can’t lift Black with the damaged arm. Black cracks him with a roundhouse for a near fall. Black whips Cardona into the corner and rolls into a double‑wristlock attempt. Cardona ducks a clothesline and hits a powerbomb. He follows with a back elbow, but when he tries to block a punch with his injured hand, the pain shoots through him — showing just how much damage he’s absorbed.
Matt Cardona plants Aleister Black face‑first, but he still can’t execute the Tiger Bomb with the damaged arm. Black tries for a suplex, but Cardona counters into a neckbreaker — because you don’t suplex Matt Cardona. Cardona charges with a corner forearm for a near fall. Black hot‑shots him across the top rope and places him on the turnbuckles. Black climbs for a superplex, but Cardona drops him face‑first to the mat. Cardona follows with a missile dropkick and finally hits a Tiger Driver for a near fall.

They trade forearms in the center of the ring. Black catches a kick, Cardona fires a forearm — and Black answers with Black Mass, dropping him cold for the three‑count.

We Hear from Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre appears backstage and says Shakespeare couldn’t have written a better tragedy. His family was ready to watch him walk out as champion, and the moment was stolen again — this time by Jacob Fatu. Drew says he’s heard nothing but excuses, justifications, and lies. Fatu is nothing more than a criminal and a thief. Drew says he’s seen people change, but Fatu is still a disgusting, dirty convict. He’s only here because of his family — the “Nepo Criminal” of the Bloodline. Drew says next week he will prove Fatu is guilty as charged. He’ll show the world who Jacob Fatu really is.

Danhausen’s music hits. He marches to the ring with his jar of teeth and reaches for a tag from Miz, who is furious. The referee orders Danhausen off the apron, but Miz argues — and Truth tags Danhausen anyway. Danhausen poses, Miz yells that he doesn’t belong here, and Danhausen winds up for the curse. Miz yanks the referee into the line of fire.
The lights go out. When they return, Danhausen sprints up the aisle.
Truth hits Kit with an Attitude Adjustment, but Miz drops Truth with a Skull‑Crushing Finale. The referee’s arm won’t move for the count because of the curse. Priest capitalizes with South of Heaven for the three‑count.
Winners: Damian Priest & R‑Truth (retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship)
After the match, Cody Rhodes storms in and plants Kit Wilson with CrossRhodes. Cody grabs a mic and says everyone got dressed up tonight to find out who Randy Orton was talking to on the phone — and it turned out to be Pat McAfee. Cody compares it to the nWo’s “third man” being Disco Inferno instead of Hulk Hogan. He promises Pat will get a receipt and tells him — and everyone around him — to kiss his ass.
Cody asks if they’re going to fire him. He says he wants that to be Randy’s legacy after fifteen years. Randy claimed it wasn’t personal, but Stephanie told Cody he needed to go to a dark place and become a bad guy again. Cody says he doesn’t know if he can — he has two kids and his dream job. He talks about the records they’ve set over the last four years. He wrestled John Cena, Roman Reigns, and The Rock… and they wrestled him.
Two of the best in the world will face off, and Cody says he’s been hearing those voices in his head — and nobody wants to hear what they’re telling him.
The show heads to a commercial break. More WWE SmackDown results from April 3, 2026 are coming up next.

WWE SmackDown Preview – April 3, 2026
The chaos between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu has only intensified over the past two weeks. After the two men brawled across nearly the entire March 20 episode of SmackDown, Fatu returned last Friday to send a chilling message directly to McIntyre. That brought McIntyre storming to the ring, ready to fight on the spot — but before fists could fly, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis stepped in and made their showdown official: an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania 42, set for April 18 and 19. With the match now locked in, both McIntyre and Fatu are advertised for tonight’s show, and neither man is expected to hold anything back.
Rhea Ripley, winner of the 2026 Women’s Elimination Chamber, will be in action as she faces Michin. Ripley is preparing to challenge Michin’s ally Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, and last Friday’s confrontation between Ripley, Cargill, Michin, and B‑Fab erupted into chaos. That encounter led to Ripley defeating B‑Fab by disqualification after Cargill jumped in and attacked her. Tonight, Ripley looks to regain control of the narrative as she steps into the ring with Michin.
Before he defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber winner — and former mentor — Randy Orton, champion Cody Rhodes will appear tonight with something on his mind. Orton claimed last week that he “couldn’t be held responsible” for what the voices in his head told him to do, and after defeating Matt Cardona later that night, Orton found himself confronted by Rhodes. The two erupted into a wild, extended brawl that required security — and even country star Jelly Roll — to break up. With tensions at a boiling point, Rhodes is expected to address the situation tonight.
Last Friday also saw Sami Zayn become a two‑time United States Champion, ending Carmelo Hayes’ 98‑day reign. With Zayn now set to defend the title against Trick Williams at WrestleMania 42, he will appear tonight to speak for the first time since reclaiming the gold.
In tag team action, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will take on Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. All four women — along with The Bella Twins — will challenge The Irresistible Forces, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, for the Women’s Tag Team Championship in a Fatal Four‑Way Match at WrestleMania 42. Tonight’s match serves as a final preview before all six teams collide on the grandest stage.
