WWE SmackDown Results – March 6, 2026

WWE SmackDown Results – March 6, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s coverage of WWE SmackDown on March 6, from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon!

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. Randy welcomes everyone to SmackDown. He says he got to the venue earlier today — on time. He mentions that when he arrived this morning, the WrestleMania sign was already hanging in the arena. He says he kept glancing at it throughout the day while doing his usual routine.

Randy says he’s a numbers guy, and he knows exactly how many WrestleManias he has performed in. He says there have been twenty of them, but he has only main‑evented twice. To him, that proves it doesn’t matter who you are, how much you’ve won, or how many records you hold — there is no guarantee you’re going to WrestleMania, let alone main‑eventing the show.

Randy says here we are, and now he can finally say he’s going back to the main event of WrestleMania. He says he’s never been the guy who stands in the ring and calls himself the best — he’s always let his peers speak for him, and a lot of them have put him in that category. Men he grew up admiring like Ric Flair, The Undertaker, and Harley Race. JBL used to describe him as what you’d get if you built a wrestler from the ground up. When he looks around the locker room and sees the men he shares it with, it makes him proud that after all this time, he’s still doing this, still at the top of his game, and still in the position he’s in.

Randy says this opportunity wasn’t handed to him — he earned this son of a bitch. As for the main event of WrestleMania, he doesn’t know who his opponent will be yet, but we’ll find out in a few hours. He says he feels differently about the two possibilities. It could be Drew McIntyre, or it could be Cody Rhodes. But it doesn’t matter who it is — he’s not leaving Vegas empty‑handed. He’s going into Vegas with a chip on his shoulder, and he’s leaving with the WWE Championship around his waist. Randy says he plans to accomplish that one way: using the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment… R… K…

The lights go out — and Trick Williams makes his way onto the stage.

He says he has finally arrived. Trick says he has voices in his head too, and they’re telling him he has a bone to pick with Randy. He says he should be the one in the main event of WrestleMania getting that title shot. Trick says he’s also got another problem with Randy — Randy came out on Saturday, walked into his Elimination Chamber pod, stood on his tippy‑toes, and said Trick wasn’t six‑five. Trick steps into Randy’s ring and tells him if Randy wants to measure up, they can measure up right now. Trick mentions his shoes… and Randy drops him with an RKO.

Backstage:

We go backstage to Carmelo Hayes speaking with Nick Aldis. Nick tells Hayes he’s doing a great job as champion. He says he’s been getting requests from all over the world, and one of them is a big one. Hayes says he’ll wait until he gets to the ring to find out what it is.

When people call him a warrior, it means carrying the burden of being her son. Until he can become that warrior again, he says he will wait.

Nick says he was going to let things play out the way they should, but Drew went back on his word — so Nick went back on his. He tells Drew to put up or shut up, and says Drew can forfeit the title if he wants.

Nia tells everyone to soak it all in and get a good look at two six‑foot thoroughbred stallions. She says they have the division on lock and they are two of the most dominant women in WWE. Nia says they’re generous champions, so all challengers are welcome, and it won’t make any difference.

Lash tells everyone in the back and in the locker room that this is their first, last, and only warning — they’re here, and they aren’t going anywhere. Lash says it’s only fitting for them to have a toast during Women’s History Month.

Charlotte Flair’s music hits, and she comes out with Alexa Bliss.

Alexa says she’s happy for Nia — she finally has a coattail she can ride to the top. She says the only reason they lost the titles was because Nia and Lash cheated in their match against the Kabuki Warriors.

Charlotte says if they want challengers, they’re looking at the next ones in line.

Giulia and Kiana James come out, and Kiana tells everyone to wait a minute. Two weeks ago, she was in a Triple Threat with Charlotte and Nia — and she won. Who pinned Alexa in the Elimination Chamber? She did. She says they plan to go to WrestleMania one way or another.

Giulia speaks in Japanese, then says they’re going to Vegas with the tag titles. Kiana tells Charlotte and Alexa to do them a favor and step aside.

Sami Zayn walks up and says things have been icy the last few weeks. He says he isn’t trying to get in Cody’s head, but it’s crazy this match is happening. Cody asks what’s crazy. Sami says Cody beat him, and he’ll let the way Cody won go. Cody lost the Chamber, but he’s getting another chance — while Sami isn’t getting a second chance at all.

Cody says Sami sounds like he’s politicking for a title match. Sami asks if Cody is trying to be self‑serving and snake his way into one. Cody says he doesn’t know and asks Sami to tell him. Sami says he doesn’t know either — he came to wish Cody good luck and it turned into all this. Sami says he’s rooting for Cody and tells him to go do what he does and become champion again.

But she says she’s not impressed. Rhea’s arms are big, but hers are bigger. Rhea’s legs are powerful, but hers are more powerful. She says she is more worthy of being WWE Women’s Champion, and she’s going to beat the hell out of Rhea. Jade says she’s that bitch and drops the mic.

Rhea says she respects Jade’s honesty. She knows what Jade thinks of her, and maybe she doesn’t impress Jade physically — but Jade does impress her physically. Maybe Jade’s shoulders are bigger. Maybe her arms are too. Maybe her legs. Maybe even her hand. But if Jade hits her with her best shot, does she really think Rhea will go down and stay down? Rhea laughs and says absolutely not. But if she hits Jade with hers, there’s no way Jade is getting back up.

Rhea says the difference between them is simple: Jade’s body is built for show. Rhea’s is built for fighting. Jade works out to look aesthetically pleasing. Rhea works out to survive and thrive in this business. Jade can flex all she wants — Rhea is going to fight. She says she’ll take that title, and she’ll take it with force, and there’s not a damn thing Jade can do about it… because she’s that bitch. Rhea drops her mic.

WWE SmackDown Preview – March 6, 2026

Drew McIntyre will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship tonight for the first time on television since retaining against Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble on January 31. He faces Cody Rhodes, a former two‑time world champion who was directly cost the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber Match by McIntyre. As confirmed during the Elimination Chamber post‑show, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis ordered McIntyre to defend the title tonight after McIntyre slipped into the Chamber earlier that evening—taking advantage of the open door meant for Seth Rollins’ removal—and allowed Randy Orton to steal the victory.

Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of MFT will learn their next challengers when the SmackDown tag division competes in a Tag Team Championship Turmoil Match. The number of teams has not been announced, adding unpredictability to a match type already known for chaos and endurance.

Meanwhile, Lash Legend and Nia Jax of The Irresistible Forces will host a celebration after dethroning Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY last Friday to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Despite losing the tag titles, Rhea Ripley has secured her path to WrestleMania 42. She won the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match against Tiffany Stratton, Kiana James, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss to earn the right to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship. SKY gave Ripley an emotional sendoff on Raw, and tensions between Ripley and Cargill have escalated dramatically across social media throughout the week. Ripley appears tonight with something to say as the rivalry intensifies.

United States Champion Carmelo Hayes continues his impressive run of open challenges, extending a streak that began in December 2025. Hayes has successfully defended against top names including Johnny Gargano, Shinsuke Nakamura, Leon Slater, Ilja Dragunov, Rey Fenix, and most recently Matt Cardona. Another challenger from the SmackDown locker room will step up tonight.
