Following Sunday’s episode of AEW Collision, Miguel was notably absent from the group’s appearance, prompting speculation about his future. Shortly thereafter, the former TNA X-Division Champion addressed the situation directly on social media.
In an initial post, Miguel revealed that he had planned to step away from wrestling entirely, using the moment to reflect on personal growth and mistakes from his past.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my time,” Miguel wrote. “I’ve always apologized and did my best to put a better foot forward after. I don’t preach hate and I don’t take any pride in being hateful. I’m a man of faith, I believe in forgiveness and only ever preach that. I’m a different man today.”
The message struck a candid tone and underscored how heavily the situation had weighed on him over the course of the week.
Miguel later followed up with additional comments on X, offering more insight into the emotional and mental toll the experience had taken. He reiterated that he had seriously considered walking away from the business before TNA stepped in.
“I planned to step away from wrestling after the week I went through,” he wrote. “It was really hard on me mentally and emotionally. I didn’t think I could do it anymore. Thank you to everyone who had my back, especially TNA. It was hard not to quit. But we can’t give up. Thank you God.”
Miguel’s appearance on iMPACT confirms that, despite the difficult stretch, his wrestling career is continuing under the TNA banner. His return also reunites him with a promotion where he previously found success and championship gold, providing a fresh start after an emotionally challenging chapter.
