WWE Terminates Ridge Holland’s Contract Early After Reported Breach

WWE Terminates Ridge Holland’s Contract Early After Reported Breach – Things have taken a difficult turn for former WWE star Ridge Holland (Luke Menzies), as multiple internal sources have confirmed that WWE has terminated his contract early, reportedly citing a “breach” tied to his recent social media activity.

According to those familiar with the situation, WWE management decided to end Holland’s deal immediately rather than allow it to expire naturally next month. His contract had been set to run through mid-November 2025, but officials opted not to pay out the remaining term, referencing the alleged breach as justification.

The move comes amid Holland’s ongoing recovery from a serious injury sustained on September 27, which is expected to keep him out of action well into 2026. WWE’s decision marks another instance of the company enforcing stricter policies around injured performers — a trend that has reportedly become more common over the past year.

Holland had also made headlines recently for claiming that he was not compensated for his one-off appearance at TNA’s Bound For Glory weekend, which he said he attended on behalf of WWE. Despite the contract termination, WWE remains legally obligated to cover his surgery and rehabilitation costs, as part of its medical care policy for contracted talent.

On Tuesday, Holland addressed the situation publicly through his official X (Twitter) account, expressing frustration and financial stress caused by his sudden release.

“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage,” Holland wrote. “I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE.”

He continued, “Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal. Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f**ked.”

Holland was among the names released during WWE’s October talent cuts, which affected talent across WWE, NXT, and WWE EVOLVE. His case stands out given the combination of an active injury, alleged breach of contract, and the public nature of his frustration.
