FOX Announces Major Multi-Year Deal with AAA

FOX Announces Major Multi-Year Deal with AAA – FOX has officially expanded its presence in Mexico by securing a major agreement with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, adding one of the nation’s most iconic wrestling promotions to its sports lineup beginning in 2026. The company confirmed the news in a press release issued on November 25, noting that the deal positions FOX as a leading destination for sports content across Mexico and Latin America.

Under the new partnership, FOX will air AAA’s biggest events, including Premium Live Events such as Triplemania. Viewers across Mexico, Central America, and South America (excluding Brazil) will be able to watch top AAA stars such as Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Psycho Clown, Pagano, Pentagon Jr., Rey Fenix, Mr. Iguana, Vikingo, Lola Vice, La Parka, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano compete in some of the promotion’s most high-stakes matches.

Luis Maldonado, Executive Director of Programming and Marketing at FOX Mexico, emphasized the cultural importance of lucha libre, calling the agreement an essential part of the company’s strategy to deliver diverse and relevant sports content. Maldonado stated that FOX is proud to bring AAA’s stories and performers to millions of viewers throughout the region.

Patrick Dooley, SVP of Global Strategy and Creative Operations at WWE, also commented on the new alliance, describing FOX as a partner that aligns with AAA’s goals for innovation and entertainment. He noted that the collaboration is expected to elevate AAA’s visibility and expand its reach to new audiences.

Rey Mysterio, whose legendary career began in AAA, shared his own excitement. He said that seeing AAA showcased on FOX in Mexico is a moment of pride, adding that lucha libre is deeply tied to the country’s culture. Mysterio stated that this is only the beginning of a promising new chapter for the promotion.

AAA content will be available across multiple FOX platforms, including the FOX channel on Tubi in AVOD format, the FOX pay TV channel, and the FOX One subscription platform. This ensures that fans will have access to lucha libre programming across both free and paid services.

With AAA joining its portfolio, FOX strengthens a sports catalog that already includes a wide range of national and international soccer coverage—such as Liga MX, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, and Coppa Italia—along with baseball, auto racing, padel, and other major sports.

FOX Latin America has continued growing its footprint since beginning operations in Mexico in June 2025 with its acquisition of Caliente TV. The addition of AAA marks another significant step in solidifying the company’s position as one of Mexico’s top sports broadcasters.
