News & Notes From 10/25 AEW Collision – Olympia Debuts, Nixon Newell Arrives, More – This week’s episode of AEW Collision delivered a mix of fiery promos, debuts, and major announcements leading into AEW’s Fright Night edition of Dynamite.

AEW World Champion Hangman Page opened the show with an intense promo directed at The Opps — Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata. Page accused the trio of betraying their original purpose by joining forces with the Death Riders, the same group they once fought against. He reminded Joe that he had granted him a World Title opportunity, only for Joe to fail, which Page said wounded Joe’s pride and led to his betrayal. The champion promised revenge, declaring that his mission was not just to defeat Joe but to “ruin his life.”

Later in the night, former WWE star Nixon Newell (f.k.a. Tegan Nox) and Miranda Alize made a surprise appearance, confronting Tay Melo and Anna Jay (TayJay). The heated exchange set up an official tag match for next week’s show. TayJay are already entered in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament and will face Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne in the opening round. Newell’s appearance marks her AEW debut and first national television match since her WWE release in late 2024. Alize, a standout from ROH and the Texas independent scene, reunites with Newell after several matches together on the indies.

Also on Collision, Olympia made her AEW debut, answering Taya Valkyrie’s MxM Casting Call challenge. In a strong first outing, the CMLL standout scored a major upset win over Valkyrie with a swinging sideslam. Olympia, known for her success in CMLL and participation in the ROH Women’s Pure Championship Tournament, has been gaining international buzz, including a recent confrontation with Mercedes Moné in Mexico. Her momentum now sets the stage for their anticipated clash.

Looking ahead, AEW announced a stacked card for next week’s Fright Night edition of Dynamite, featuring Samoa Joe, HOOK, Bobby Lashley, and Ricochet in a four-way AEW World Title Number One Contender’s Match. The episode will also include the first round of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament and a major Tag Team Title contender’s bout featuring The Young Bucks, FTR, Jurassic Express, and JetSpeed.

Meanwhile, next week’s AEW Collision will be headlined by Mercedes Moné defending the CMLL World Women’s Championship against Olympia.
