AEW Collision Thanksgiving Episode Moved to Avoid Clash with WWE Survivor Series – AEW Collision will not go head-to-head with WWE Survivor Series this November, as Warner Bros. Discovery has adjusted the show’s broadcast schedule.
Typically airing every Saturday night on TNT — with a simulcast on HBO Max at 8 p.m. ET — AEW Collision will shift its airtime for the holiday week. According to the updated listings from Warner Bros. Discovery, the show is now set to air on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, instead of its regular Saturday slot on November 29.
The move ensures that AEW’s flagship Saturday program won’t compete directly with WWE’s Survivor Series Premium Live Event, which is scheduled for November 29 at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The scheduling adjustment allows AEW to maintain its audience while avoiding one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
AEW has also confirmed that the Thanksgiving edition of Collision will be pre-taped on Tuesday, November 26, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. That same night, the company will also tape AEW Dynamite, effectively turning the event into a double taping for holiday week programming.
This isn’t the first time AEW has shifted Collision’s schedule due to major sports events or competing wrestling broadcasts. The Thanksgiving move appears to be a strategic decision by both AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery to maximize viewership while steering clear of direct competition with WWE’s long-running November spectacle.
