In addition, Ava announced a major title-for-title showdown as NXT Tag Team Champions Darkstate will battle TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardys. Unlike the chaotic title-for-title match that closed a recent episode of NXT, everyone will be barred from ringside and there must be a definitive winner.
This crossover follows weeks of growing tension between the two brands. Friction began when it was revealed that TNA World Champion Trick Williams would face NXT Champion Oba Femi in a title-for-title match, a decision that frustrated several TNA stars. The rivalry intensified on this week’s NXT when Williams struck Mike Santana during commentary, prompting the entire TNA roster—who were seated in the crowd—to storm the ring for a massive brawl with NXT talent.
