John Cena Challenges AJ Styles to One More Match, Styles Accepts

John Cena Challenges AJ Styles to One More Match, Styles Accepts – John Cena may have just set the stage for another showdown with one of his greatest rivals. On Monday night, Cena posted a cryptic tweet teasing a potential final match against AJ Styles. He followed up the next morning with another message directly addressing both Styles and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

“I do not choose my opponents, but I (even through tough times) ALWAYS listen to the fans,” Cena wrote. “@AJStylesOrg are you listening? Better yet @TripleH….. are YOU listening???”

Styles wasted little time responding, publicly accepting Cena’s challenge: “I hear them loud and clear. Let’s do it, I’m ready!”

As of now, WWE has yet to officially announce the match, but the timing strongly points to Crown Jewel: Perth as the likely destination. The premium live event takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. Cena does not have any other WWE appearances scheduled before that date, fueling speculation that this could be the setting for their long-awaited rematch.

Including Crown Jewel, Cena has just five dates remaining on his retirement tour:
– Saturday, October 11: WWE Crown Jewel: Perth (Perth, Australia)
– Monday, November 10: WWE RAW (Boston, Massachusetts)
– Monday, November 17: WWE RAW (New York City, New York)
– Saturday, November 29: WWE Survivor Series (San Diego, California)
– Saturday, December 13: WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (reportedly Washington, D.C.)

Cena and Styles previously delivered a series of critically acclaimed matches between 2016 and 2018, with many fans considering their encounters among the best of Cena’s career. Their potential final clash would give both men an opportunity to revisit a rivalry that helped define an era of WWE’s modern era.

Cena is coming off a loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza and, despite fan speculation, WWE reportedly has no plans for another Cena vs. Lesnar bout before Cena retires. For now, all eyes are on Perth as WWE prepares for what could be one last classic between Cena and Styles.
