Updated Lineup for AEW Forbidden Door

Updated Lineup for AEW Forbidden Door – The parking lot turned into a scene of mayhem during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, following Jon Moxley’s hard-fought victory over “Speedball” Mike Bailey. After the match, Moxley and Marina Shafir were seen heading outside—only to discover a disturbing sight: their Death Riders teammate Wheeler Yuta stuffed into a white body bag.

Shafir quickly pulled Yuta out, revealing a shocking detail—someone had stapled a note to his forehead. The message simply read: “Forbidden Door.” Before Moxley and Shafir could react further, Darby Allin suddenly arrived on the scene, driving straight into the chaos in an SUV. Allin did not attack physically, but the statement was loud and clear. This personal escalation between Allin and Moxley now appears to be reaching dangerous levels.

While AEW has yet to officially confirm a match between Moxley and Allin, the implication is strong that their conflict may come to a head at the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view. The event is set for August 24, 2025, live from The O2 Arena in London, England.

With less than three weeks to go, here is the updated card for Forbidden Door:

  • Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. TBA
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) (c) vs. TBD
  • AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Swerve Strickland
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Athena
  • AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Alex Windsor (AEW) vs. TBD (CMLL) vs. TBD (Stardom)

With this unsettling message delivered by Darby Allin, all eyes will now be on whether Jon Moxley responds with violence, a challenge, or both in the coming weeks. AEW has yet to officially comment on Yuta’s condition.

Forbidden Door continues to take shape as one of AEW’s most stacked international events, blending top stars from AEW, NJPW, Stardom, CMLL, and beyond.
