Triple H Calls ESPN Deal Company’s Biggest Opportunity

Triple H Calls ESPN Deal Company’s Biggest Opportunity – WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared on ESPN’s Get Up on Wednesday morning to officially announce a major new streaming partnership between WWE and ESPN, set to begin in 2026. Levesque described the deal as the “biggest opportunity” in WWE history and expressed excitement about what the collaboration could mean for the company’s future.

Levesque emphasized the strategic value of joining forces with ESPN, calling it a perfect match between two entertainment powerhouses. “For what we consider the worldwide leader in sports entertainment, to be with the worldwide leader of sports and entertainment, ESPN, there’s nothing bigger,” he said. “There’s no bigger opportunity for us than this right now. And on top of that, to be in the Disney family, so to speak. We’re thrilled.”

Starting in 2026, WWE’s Premium Live Events will be available on ESPN’s platforms, and Levesque believes that partnership will elevate WWE’s major shows to new heights. “Nobody does large-scale, massive events like ESPN,” he said. “It’s what you do, and it’s what we like to think we do better than anybody else on the planet. So this is the perfect marriage. When we get together, things like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble are going to be bigger than ever.”

The announcement followed what Levesque described as a hugely successful SummerSlam weekend at MetLife Stadium. The event was the first to be held across two nights, drawing a reported total of 113,000 fans. “For the first time ever… two nights back to back, 113,000 crazy fans descend upon that New York, New Jersey area, like only WWE fans can,” Levesque said. “We took over a city… It was incredible, massively successful.”

He also pointed to the celebrity presence at the event—including Russell Wilson, Tyrese Haliburton, Jelly Roll, and Logan Paul—as proof that WWE continues to solidify itself as a key player in pop culture. “It was a cultural moment,” he said.

Levesque declared that WWE is experiencing an all-time high, both creatively and commercially. “It’s the hottest it’s ever been,” he stated. “Nick [Khan] and I had a conversation with our employees and our talent… about plans of where we wanted to go. And you know, we see the ecosystem—NFL, NBA—and we’re right there, and we’re coming at them.”

He also highlighted the strength of WWE’s developmental system as a major asset for the company’s long-term success.

The new partnership between WWE and ESPN is scheduled to take effect in 2026, positioning WWE alongside some of the biggest brands in global sports.
