New Matches & Segments Announced for WWE SmackDown In Lyon, France – WWE is set for a special international edition of SmackDown today from the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, serving as the go-home show for WWE Clash in Paris. The event will stream live on Netflix at 2 PM EST (1 PM CST) internationally, while U.S. viewers will still see the show in its regular 8 PM EST (7 PM CST) slot on the USA Network.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed new developments for the card earlier today. Michin will face Kiana James, with the stipulation that if Michin wins, she will secure a future shot at Giulia’s WWE Women’s United States Championship. In addition, John Cena is scheduled to appear live for the first time since Logan Paul attacked him in last week’s closing segment.
The episode will also feature several previously announced matches. Carmelo Hayes and The Miz will team up as Melo Don’t Miz against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), with the winners earning a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championships held by The Wyatt Sicks. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will put the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Piper Niven and Alba Fyre of The Secret Hervice. Solo Sikoa is also set to defend the WWE United States Championship against Sami Zayn.
Today’s show carries added anticipation as Lyon is viewed internally by WWE as having one of the greatest crowds in company history. WWE has even gone as far as to label the Lyon audience the loudest ever, citing its decibel-measured crowd reactions.
