Charles Robinson Slams Death Rumors, Confirms Recovering from Recent Bumps – Veteran WWE referee Charles Robinson has firmly shut down online rumors claiming that he had passed away, calling out a fake memorial post that began circulating on social media this week.
Robinson, known to fans as “Lil’ Naitch,” took to Instagram to clear the air after a now-deleted post falsely claimed he had died. The post even included a graphic reading “In Memory of Ref Lil’ Naitch,” complete with his photo.
“I am alive and well,” Robinson wrote alongside a screenshot of the fabricated tribute. “Some people are just stinky nasty old butt holes that spread lies. Do not believe anything you read on the Internet. Have a great week. #NOTDEAD.”
Despite being 61 years old, Robinson has remained physically active in WWE, even absorbing some rough in-ring bumps over the last few months. He recently disclosed that he suffered a cracked rib after being accidentally speared by WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg during the Saturday Night’s Main Event live show on July 12. Goldberg later lost that match to then-World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.
Just weeks earlier, at WWE Night of Champions on June 28, Robinson went viral when he was thrown across the ringside area by John Cena. The moment occurred during Cena’s entrance as he rushed the ring and eventually defeated CM Punk to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
A mainstay in the wrestling world for decades, Robinson joined WWE in 2001 following the acquisition of WCW, where he had also gained attention for his stylized persona mimicking Ric Flair. Today, he serves as WWE’s senior referee, primarily officiating on the SmackDown brand while also making appearances at major premium live events.
Robinson’s response has reassured fans who were misled by the viral hoax. As he humorously made clear — he’s still around, still taking bumps, and still very much a part of WWE’s weekly action.
