Drew McIntyre Says He's Healthier Than He’s Been in Years

Drew McIntyre Says He’s Healthier Than He’s Been in Years – Drew McIntyre says he’s feeling better than ever after returning to WWE television earlier this month, following a short time away from the ring. In a new interview with FOX News, the former WWE Champion gave a promising update on his physical condition, revealing that he feels healthier than he has in years.

“I honestly feel better than I felt in about, minimum, six or seven years,” McIntyre told FOX News. He attributed the improvement to changes in his training and recovery regimen. “I brought somebody in to start doing rehab at the gym, stretching things I’ve never done in my life and it’s unbelievable what it’s opened in my body,” he said, emphasizing the benefits of incorporating more focused stretching and body maintenance into his routine.

McIntyre last appeared on WWE programming in a steel cage match loss to Damian Priest, a bout that aired several weeks before his return on the July 4th episode of SmackDown. During the Independence Day episode, McIntyre confronted Randy Orton in a segment that also involved Cody Rhodes. The tension led to the announcement of a highly anticipated singles match between McIntyre and Orton, scheduled for this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

This match marks McIntyre’s first televised bout since his return, and betting odds suggest he enters the match as the clear favorite. According to BetOnline, McIntyre is currently listed at -200, while Orton is a +150 underdog. The odds give McIntyre a 66.7% implied probability of picking up the win.

The match is one of three major WWE events taking place on Saturday, July 12, going head-to-head with AEW’s All In: Texas. WWE’s packed weekend schedule also includes NXT Great American Bash earlier in the day, followed by the all-women’s Evolution event on Sunday, July 13.

With momentum building and his health in top form, McIntyre looks poised to make a significant impact as WWE’s summer calendar heats up.
