Asuka Talks WWE Return and Recovery From Injury – After spending nearly a full year off WWE television due to injury, Asuka officially returned to action earlier this month, making an immediate impact by advancing to the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament. The former multi-time women’s champion shared a heartfelt message with fans in a new video on her KanaChanTV YouTube channel, reflecting on her road to recovery and what it means to be back in the ring.
“This is just a quick video, and I really want to say this: I’m back!” Asuka began. “I finally made my return to the ring. So, thank you so much for all your support, your kind messages, and your love. It means more than I can say. It really was a great help to me. I can’t even put it into words.”
Asuka emphasized the difficulty of her time away, both physically and emotionally. “Being away for almost a year, it wasn’t easy… there were some tough days, but I managed to get through it… Your voice kept me going, really. Everyone’s voices were there, so yeah… I guess you could say it never stopped. I guess the point is that I didn’t stop.”
The former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Champion credited the support of her fans as a key source of motivation. “My match was always intense. Physically and mentally, it has been pushed to the limit. I really do feel like I was on the edge, both mentally and physically. I was able to win the comeback. I would like to talk about this, but this is just the beginning…”
Asuka’s next step will be determined by the result of Monday Night RAW on June 23, where Roxanne Perez will face Jade Cargill in the tournament’s second semifinal. The winner will go on to face Asuka in the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament, scheduled for WWE Night of Champions on June 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Asuka’s return has injected new energy into WWE’s women’s division, and her path to the Queen of the Ring crown now lies just one match away.
