AEW All In Match Could Strip Young Bucks of EVP Status

AEW All In Match Could Strip Young Bucks of EVP Status – During the June 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay confronted The Young Bucks with a challenge that could shake the foundation of AEW’s power structure.

The Bucks, Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, used their authority as Executive Vice Presidents to force Ospreay and Strickland into an impromptu tag match against Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. Despite the short notice, Strickland and Ospreay secured a victory while the Bucks loomed at ringside, continuing their months-long interference campaign.

Following the win, Strickland and Ospreay directly addressed the Bucks, calling out their abuse of power and constant meddling. Strickland challenged them to a match at AEW All In: Texas, set for Saturday, July 12. Ospreay escalated the situation by demanding that the EVP positions of the Bucks be on the line in the bout.

The moment intensified as Strickland delivered a Swerve Stomp to both Bucks and members of security outside the ring, igniting chaos. However, the Bucks did not respond to the challenge on the spot. Instead, they retaliated by suspending Strickland without pay for a week for attacking company officials.

Strickland’s absence was felt during the show’s closing angle. After the Bucks and the Death Riders ambushed Hangman Page, The Opps and Will Ospreay rushed to his aid, but with Strickland suspended, the numbers game briefly favored the heels.

This confrontation is the latest development in a long-simmering feud between Strickland & Ospreay and The Young Bucks, who have been at odds for several months over AEW’s creative direction and leadership.

If accepted, the stakes of the All In tag match could be unprecedented: not just bragging rights, but the future of executive leadership in AEW.
