Abadon Announces AEW Departure – AEW star Abadon has officially announced that her tenure with All Elite Wrestling will be coming to an end, confirming that her contract expires in June 2025 and will not be renewed. The news was shared by Abadon in an emotional post on social media platform X, where she reflected on her time with AEW and expressed hope for the future of her wrestling career.
“My time with AEW is coming to an end. My contract expires in June and I will not be renewed. The emotions I’m currently trying to manage are incredibly difficult and full of conflict as I reflect on my time there. My goal is to not let this be it for me, because I love wrestling too much to just stop. I’ve put in a lot of hard work that I will now be able to show case more often. While my heart is currently broken you can bet that I’m still going to show up for training next week. If you are looking to book me please send an email to bookabadonhere@gmail.com. Thank you.”
Abadon debuted in AEW in 2020 and officially signed with the company in June of that year. Known for her distinctive horror-inspired persona and presentation, she quickly stood out in AEW’s women’s division. She gained a cult following through her appearances on AEW Dark, Dynamite, and Rampage, and her most notable match came in late 2020 when she faced then-AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida in an eliminator bout.
While Abadon remained a regular competitor on AEW’s digital programming, she was used sporadically on television. Despite limited TV time, she continued to develop her character and in-ring skills, recently returning from injury and appearing more frequently on Rampage and house shows.
Her statement signals that she remains committed to professional wrestling and intends to remain active on the independent scene. With a unique presentation and loyal fan base, Abadon is expected to attract interest from indie promotions and potentially international companies once her AEW contract officially concludes.
