Tommaso Ciampa Not Cleared To Compete – On the October 2 episode of WWE RAW, Johnny Gargano made a long-anticipated return to the ring and reunited with his DIY tag team partner, Tommaso Ciampa. He intervened to rescue Ciampa from an attack by Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. However, their reunion was short-lived, as on the October 9 episode, Vinci, Kaiser, and Gunther ambushed Gargano and Ciampa during an interview, leaving them battered and bruised after a brutal beatdown.
On tonight’s Season Premiere of RAW, Johnny Gargano faced Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. Tommaso Ciampa was notably absent from ringside, with the commentary team explaining that he was not medically cleared to compete. Unfortunately, no further details about Ciampa’s condition were provided.
During the match, Kaiser had the advantage, with Giovanni Vinci in his corner. Vinci’s interference led to a distraction that helped Kaiser secure the victory. This marked Gargano’s first match on WWE Raw since May 15, although he had participated in a few live events in the interim.
As for Tommaso Ciampa, his last appearance on WWE RAW was on the October 2 episode when he unsuccessfully challenged Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
As noted earlier, Michael Cole also missed the show.
