The following article contains spoilers from tonight’s WWE RAW Tapings from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Vince McMahon changed the plans for John Cena’s return because he was not at the Monday Night Raw tapings in Detroit on Friday. Cena was at the live event in Baltimore headlining a steel cage match with Daniel Bryan.
At the end of Friday night’s Raw tapings, it was announced that Cena, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar would be returning on the first Raw of 2019 (January 7th).
There is no word what role Cena will have on the show but it seems unlikely that he will be entering the Royal Rumble because he is set to start filming another movie soon.
Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar will be on the show to hype their upcoming Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
The January 7th edition of Monday Night Raw should be when fans start to notice some of the promised changes because the company expects to see the ratings to increase around this time of year.
WWE Raw will be at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL.
