Ticketmaster has changed the name of this year’s WWE Night of Champions PPV to Clash of the Champions, which is the name of an old WCW event typically PPV caliber matches.
This year’s Night of Champions event is scheduled to take place on September 25th at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Indianapolis, IN.
We noted yesterday that a revised 2016 WWE PPV calendar leaked online, listing old events such as No Mercy and Clash of the Champions, and it looks as if Clash might indeed be confirmed as the name of a post-WWE brand split PPV. It’s unknown at this time whether or not the event will be Raw or Smackdown specific.
