Maya World Officially Cleared To Return At AEW WrestleDream Buy-In

The landscape of the AEW women’s division is shifting once again. During the AEW WrestleDream Buy-In hosted by Renee Paquette, Jeff Jarrett, and R.J. City, former TBS Champion Maya World made a surprise appearance to deliver major news regarding her in-ring future.

Sidelined since mid-September following her last appearance on the September 9 episode of Dynamite, World announced to the live crowd and viewing audience that she is officially cleared to compete.

Road to Recovery and Unfinished Business

World’s momentum was temporarily halted after a stellar 35-day reign as TBS Champion. She originally captured the gold by defeating Hikaru Shida, but her title run came to an end at AEW All In when interference from Britt Baker cost her the match, allowing Persephone to walk away with the championship.

With World now medically cleared, her return sets the stage for immediate friction. Persephone is set to defend the TBS Championship later tonight at WrestleDream in a high-stakes four-way match against Queen Aminata, Dani Luna, and Hyan—who happens to be Maya World’s tag team partner.

Given how World’s title reign was snatched away, her return spells imminent danger for the champion as she looks to re-enter the title picture.
