WWE Officials Reportedly Doubt Brock Lesnar’s Retirement Is Final

Despite Brock Lesnar publicly announcing his retirement earlier this week, there are influential voices within WWE who reportedly believe the former World Champion may not be finished just yet.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, several high‑ranking officials expect Lesnar to remain involved with WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia next year, even after declaring his in‑ring career over.

The report notes that internal belief varies: some expect Lesnar to compete at the event, while others think he could instead headline the 2027 WWE Hall of Fame class if he chooses not to wrestle. One source was quoted as saying they “can’t envision Lesnar walking away before one final payday in Saudi Arabia.”

Lesnar announced his retirement during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, stating that his SummerSlam match against Oba Femi was his last. He spoke emotionally about closing the chapter on his career and focusing on family and life outside the ring. However, Lesnar has a long history of retirement teases that ultimately led to returns.

He appeared to retire after losing to Femi at WrestleMania 42 in April, only to return one month later. He also sparked speculation following his loss to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, removing his gloves and leaving them in the ring — a symbolic gesture that many interpreted as a farewell.

WWE Officials Remain Skeptical of Lesnar’s Exit

The skepticism within WWE stems from Lesnar’s pattern of dramatic exits followed by unexpected comebacks. His star power, international drawing ability and longstanding relationship with the company make officials hesitant to believe this retirement will be permanent. With WrestleMania 43 set for Saudi Arabia — a market where Lesnar has historically been a major attraction — internal expectations remain high that he will be involved in some capacity.

For now, Lesnar maintains that his match at SummerSlam was his final bout. Whether this retirement holds or becomes another chapter in his long history of returns remains to be seen.
