Danhausen is set to compete at WWE Backlash 2026 alongside a mystery partner, and new speculation has emerged regarding who could fill the role.
Danhausen and his mystery partner are scheduled to face Kit Wilson and The Miz at Saturday’s premium live event in Tampa.
Danhausen mystery partner speculation
According to Bryan Alvarez, there is backstage speculation that country music star Jelly Roll could ultimately be revealed as Danhausen’s partner.
Alvarez clarified that he could not confirm the information but stated the speculation was making the rounds internally.
“I can’t confirm this but I am hearing speculation that the mystery partner for Danhausen is, in fact, Jelly Roll, which would make a LOT more sense than an unadvertised PLE appearance by CM Punk.”
The comments come after earlier creative plans reportedly involved Jelly Roll appearing at Backlash in a different role.
Prior to WWE deciding on Cody Rhodes defeating Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42, the plan had reportedly been for Jelly Roll to team with Rhodes against Orton and Pat McAfee at Backlash.
However, Orton has been absent from WWE television since WrestleMania amid reports that he had been dealing with physical issues leading into the event.
Betting odds regarding Danhausen’s mystery partner currently list CM Punk as the favorite at -200.
Joe Hendry follows at +200, while Mr. Iguana is listed at +300 and Jelly Roll at +400.
WWE has not officially confirmed any details regarding the mystery partner heading into the show.
