Chelsea Green is already resuming her WWE schedule less than two weeks after undergoing a medical procedure to address a heart condition. The SmackDown star confirmed she is no longer on bed rest and is traveling again.
Green revealed that she will be present in Columbia, South Carolina for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Her return to the road comes just days after she and her husband, Matt Cardona, attended a Hollywood event. The couple were in Los Angeles on Thursday night for the premiere of the new Star Wars film “Mandalorian and Grogu” before immediately preparing to travel for WWE commitments.
“From #TheMandalorian and Grogu premiere tonight in LA straight to #SmackDown in Charlotte!,” Green wrote.
Earlier this month, Green underwent a procedure to correct supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a condition that causes an abnormally fast heart rhythm. While she had reportedly experienced symptoms for years, the issue was not officially identified until WrestleMania 42 weekend. During that time, she suffered a serious episode where her heart rate climbed to 228 beats per minute and remained at that level for around 15 minutes.
At the time of the procedure, Green was already dealing with an ankle injury that had kept her out of in-ring action. Despite that setback, she has continued to appear on SmackDown in a limited role. Just last week, she was featured in a pre-taped segment tied to her ongoing storyline with WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton. In the segment, Green attempted to align herself with Stratton, but her efforts were turned down.
Meanwhile, Cardona also shared an update during their trip, as Thursday marked his 41st birthday. He reflected on the day and thanked fans for their messages.
“Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes,” he wrote. “Had a great day with my hot wife. Flew to LA, ate steak and eggs, drank good coffee, trained legs, saw the new Star Wars movie, and now taking a red eye flight to #SmackDown.”
Green’s quick return to travel suggests her recovery is progressing well, even though her in-ring status remains limited for now.
