A new report regarding TNA Wrestling’s evolving talent policy has drawn a strong reaction from MJF, adding further tension to an already complicated situation involving multiple promotions.
Recent reports from Fightful Select and PWInsider indicate that TNA Wrestling has either pulled or reconsidered allowing its wrestlers to compete in matches against All Elite Wrestling talent on independent shows. The situation has created uncertainty around several advertised bouts and raised questions about the company’s stance moving forward.
One notable example involves Moose, who was removed from an upcoming Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling event despite previously being cleared to appear. The decision led to speculation backstage, with some believing it reflects concern over how TNA talent could be presented in matches against AEW performers.
TNA President Carlos Silva addressed the situation by citing “partner conflicts” as the reason for recent changes. However, it remains unclear whether the decision was influenced by internal strategy, external partners, or a combination of both factors.
MJF responded publicly on social media, taking aim at both TNA and Nic Nemeth. “Nic Nemeth and TNA are afraid of the AEW World Champion,” he wrote, before adding, “Let’s see if Nicky still has the balls to show up to Long Island.” He also criticized management, claiming they “don’t care about the fans or his roster getting paid.”
The situation directly affects a scheduled match between MJF and Nemeth set for May 1 at a Create-A-Pro Wrestling event. While the bout is still officially planned, reports suggest it could be canceled depending on how TNA proceeds with its restrictions.
Not all cross-promotional matches appear to be impacted at this time. According to Dave Meltzer, Leon Slater vs. Ricochet for the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 16 is still expected to take place.
As AEW continues building toward upcoming episodes of AEW Dynamite and other events, this issue has quickly turned into a larger dispute over talent usage and promotional boundaries. With multiple matches hanging in the balance, the final outcome remains uncertain as both sides navigate the situation.
