AEW Dynamite Results – April 8, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude.com’s coverage of AEW Dynamite for April 8, airing live from the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Absolute Chaos in the Parking Lot to Open Dynamite
AEW Dynamite barely gets a greeting out of Excalibur before we cut to the parking lot, where Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley are already throwing hands. The Death Riders swarm Ospreay, beating him down — until a car screeches in. Alex Windsor steps out of the driver’s seat, followed by the new IWGP World Champion Callum Newman, Henare, and Francesco Akira. The United Empire hits the scene and the brawl explodes.
Akira launches off the hood of the car onto Claudio Castagnoli. Henare slams Wheeler Yuta onto the hood. Shafir and Windsor spill into the crowd, as do Moxley and Ospreay, fighting all the way to the ring. Shafir tries to save Moxley, but Windsor wipes her out with a lariat. Newman and PAC are trading shots at ringside. Moxley and Daniel Garcia stomp Ospreay down — until Henare sprints back out and Pounces Moxley halfway across the ring.
Akira hits an assisted dropkick on Garcia. PAC returns and tries a lariat on Henare, who no‑sells it, giving Newman the opening to blast PAC with a big boot and a slingshot dive to the floor. Castagnoli charges in with uppercuts for everyone, but he and Henare tumble outside. Moxley locks Ospreay in a rear naked choke, but Ospreay rolls free just as Newman crushes Moxley with a top‑rope double stomp. Moxley escapes a Tiger Driver, and the Death Riders finally retreat, leaving the United Empire standing tall in a wild, chaotic opening.
Ospreay grabs a mic and says he flew to Japan to bring Henare, Akira, and the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion ever, Callum Newman. He gives Moxley “about 90 minutes” and challenges the Death Riders to a main‑event showdown tonight: Death Riders vs. United Empire.
Don Callis Addresses the TNT Title Situation
Don Callis is backstage, furious that Kyle Fletcher had to vacate the TNT Championship. He says it’s thrown a wrench into their plan to make Fletcher the longest‑reigning TNT Champion ever. Now the title will be decided in a Casino Gauntlet at Dynasty.
Callis says he was ready to announce ProtOkada vs. The Young Bucks for the PPV, but he already has a pivot that will “blow your minds.” He says everyone keeps asking when Okada and Takeshita will fight each other — but he’s Phil Jackson, and like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, he keeps his stars together. They won’t be fighting anytime soon, because he calls the shots.
Callis jokes he might take the money MJF paid them for taking out Darby Allin, pick up Connor McDavid, and hit the town. Tonight, they are Kyle Fletcher Strong.
Jungle Jack Perry, Bandido & Darby Allin vs. The Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Konosuke Takeshita & Mark Davis)
The bell rings and Andrade immediately walks up the ramp, leaving Darby Allin confused long enough for Takeshita to eat a Code Red for two. Mark Davis nearly hits his gut‑wrench piledriver, but Perry flies in with a missile dropkick. Perry and Bandido hit stereo dives to the floor. Allin grabs a mic mid‑match and calls Andrade one of the best wrestlers in the world — but tells him to stop being Don Callis’ “little b*tch.” Andrade returns to the stage, but Takeshita blindsides Allin with a Chaos Theory suplex down the aisle.
Callis joins commentary as Takeshita works over Allin in the ring. Perry tags in, hits a cazadora arm drag to the floor on Takeshita, and moonsaults onto both Takeshita and Davis. Back inside, Perry leaps off the top but gets swatted out of the air by a Takeshita forearm. Callis says Fletcher’s injury will only unite his Family. Andrade drops Perry over the guardrail and poses with a female fan for a selfie — Callis says it’ll cost her $60 Canadian. Nigel says Andrade could break up any marriage within a quarter mile; Callis calls him “El Homewrecker” and wants a sponsorship.
Perry gets worked over for a long stretch until he dodges a Davis senton and splash, hits an enzuigiri, and tags Bandido. Bandido hits a cazadora hurricanrana on Davis, then Gorilla Presses Takeshita onto Davis. He signals for the 21‑Plex, but Takeshita counters into a perfect Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Davis tries his bounce‑back lariat, but Bandido counters into a snap rana pin for two. Another enzuigiri lands. Takeshita blasts Bandido with a wild forearm. Perry hits a Poison Rana on Takeshita. Andrade trips Perry but wastes time playing to the crowd, letting Allin hit a tope.
Allin goes after Callis, but Davis saves him and sends Allin crashing into the guardrail. Davis and Takeshita launch Allin over the railing and timekeeper’s table. Bandido gets powerbombed on the apron. Perry tries to fight everyone off in the ring, but Davis crushes him with a right hand, bounce‑back lariat, and gut‑wrench piledriver. Andrade strolls in, picks the bones, and hits The DM on Perry for the win.
Winners: The Don Callis Family
Post‑match, Andrade gestures for the TNT Title and points at Callis. Perry gets stomped out as Bandido and Allin crawl back in. Andrade punts Allin low. Bandido gets thrown outside. Callis gouges Perry’s eyes. The Young Bucks’ music hits — they sprint out and unload superkicks on Davis and Takeshita. More Callis Family members hit the ring: Lance Archer, Hechicero, El Clon — all eat superkicks. Davis takes a BTE Trigger. Takeshita is seconds away from a Meltzer Driver when Kazuchika Okada storms out and stops it.
Takeshita and Okada briefly unite to stomp the Bucks, then stare each other down, shove each other, and start trading forearms. The Family rushes in to separate them. Suddenly, The Rascalz appear and hit a triple dive onto the entire Family — except Okada, who laughs in Takeshita’s face. That distraction lets Myron Reed fly in with a huge dive that wipes out Okada. Commentary announces Okada vs. Reed for the International Title on Collision.
Lexy Nair with Doc Sampson
Lexy Nair asks Doc Sampson about MJF’s comments last week regarding Kenny Omega’s health. Sampson says Omega did have diverticulitis issues, but he’s in the best shape of his life, cleared by surgeons and by Sampson himself. He’s not happy MJF used that to play mind games. He has to get back to work, but tells Lexy to ask if she has more questions.

Willow Nightingale vs. Queen Aminata — TBS Title Open Challenge
Queen Aminata returns after five months away and immediately drops Willow Nightingale with a swinging fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Willow rolls outside to regroup, but Aminata follows and they trade stiff shots. Hikaru Shida is shown watching from the crowd. Aminata charges with a running boot against the railing but misses, crashing hard as Willow sends her into the barricade.
Back inside, Aminata clutches her neck as Willow unloads short‑arm lariats. Aminata fires back with a flying arm drag and a running PK for two. She dishes out Chocolate Kisses and keeps Willow grounded until Willow turns the tide with a tilt‑a‑whirl backbreaker. Willow hits a shotgun dropkick off the middle rope and a Death Valley Driver for two. Aminata avoids the corner cannonball and rolls outside, but Willow still catches her with a somersault senton off the apron.
Back in the ring, Willow tries a moonsault but crashes and burns. Aminata blasts her with a forearm for a close near fall, then hits a double stomp off the top — Willow kicks out again. They trade heavy shots, Willow daring Aminata to hit her like she wants the championship. Aminata cuts off the Pounce with another forearm, but Willow rebounds off the ropes with a massive lariat and both collapse.
They rise. Aminata tries another swinging suplex, but Willow counters into a high‑stack backslide for two. Aminata blocks the Doctor Bomb and hits an Air Raid Crash for another near fall. Willow answers with a big boot and finally connects with the Pounce, launching Aminata to the floor. Willow drags her back in and plants her with the Doctor Bomb for the win.
Winner: Willow Nightingale
Post‑match, Willow shakes Aminata’s hand. Shida watches from the crowd, shaking her head.

Chris Jericho Addresses His AEW Return
Chris Jericho gets a massive ovation as he steps into the ring. He says it feels great to be back in AEW and on Dynamite, ready to sign his new contract just a few kilometers from where he started his career at the Ponoka Moose Hall. Jericho talks about the risks he’s taken — including the biggest one in 2019 when he bet on AEW. Some risks paid off, some didn’t, and he’s had his share of stinkers, but he loves pro wrestling. He respects the business, which is why he’s in the best shape of his life. Whether he’s in the opener, the main event, or not on the show at all, he wants to help others and help AEW. That’s what matters to him.
The crowd chants for Jericho. He says it’s the perfect time to sign his contract — when Ricochet’s music hits.
Ricochet walks out and says Canada “freakin sucks,” but he’s not here to talk about that. He’s here to talk to Jericho. He says they come in peace — if they wanted to hurt Jericho, Kaun would’ve already pulled the trigger. Ricochet tells Jericho to do himself a favor and don’t. Don’t come back. Why would he? After a year off, he’s bound to be rusty. There’s a difference between sing shape and ring shape. Ricochet gives Jericho credit — one of the best AEW Champions ever, and without him, AEW might not have risen the way it did. But Ricochet says he’s the man now. Attendance is up, ratings are up, he’s the inaugural National Champion — all thanks to the Rise of Ricochet. And nobody wants Jericho here. Jericho should get out before he gets hurt.
Jericho says he can’t believe how bald Ricochet is, but he respects him — he just doesn’t give a damn what Ricochet thinks. Jericho reveals he has a clause in his contract allowing him to choose anyone he wants to wrestle at Dynasty. He could choose Kaun, Liona, the popcorn guy in the 14th row, his nephew from Alberta, or even Conor McGregor (he meant Connor McDavid). But he’s made his decision.
Jericho pulls out a personalized clipboard. He says he hasn’t done this in ten years, but for Ricochet, it’s valid. When you’re bald, wearing a fancy sweatsuit, and Jericho needs an opponent? Ricochet… You just made the list! Jericho signs the contract and tells Ricochet he’ll see him Sunday.
Lexy Nair with The Don Callis Family
Lexy Nair is backstage with the Callis Family. Andrade says he’ll take care of Darby Allin. Callis says he wanted ProtOkada vs. The Young Bucks — something fans were drooling over — but he has something even bigger: Takeshita & Okada vs. The Bucks.
Takeshita immediately says no. Callis is insulted. This is for Kyle Fletcher — they need to come together and beat the Bucks. Takeshita agrees, but says he wants to challenge Okada for the International Title. Callis says fine — if they get the job done at Dynasty, Takeshita gets his title shot and they can “get it out of their system.”
Callis demands they shake hands. They do — but Okada yanks Takeshita in and tells him he’s Scottie Pippen, while Okada is Michael Jordan. They have to be pulled apart as the segment ends.
The show cuts to another break. We will be back for more AEW Dynamite results for April 8, 2026.
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Mascara Dorada — #1 Spot in the TNT Title Casino Gauntlet at Dynasty
The TNT Championship sits on the commentary desk as Tommaso Ciampa gives it a long, deliberate stare before the bell. Ciampa tries to isolate Dorada’s arm early, but Dorada’s speed shuts that down fast. They trade rapid‑fire pin attempts until Ciampa scrambles out of a LeBell Lock and rolls outside to glare at the title again. Dorada flips toward him, grabs the arm, and scales the ropes into a double‑springboard arm drag. A thrust kick sends Ciampa outside, but Ciampa dodges Dorada’s dive and blasts him with a running knee.
Back inside, Ciampa looks for another knee, but Dorada avoids it and they trade chops. Dorada hits a corner hurricanrana and follows with a Tornillo to the floor. Ciampa regains control by slamming Dorada repeatedly into the commentary table and railing. Dorada fires back with a wild arm drag and another hurricanrana. Ciampa tries to sweep the legs on the apron, but Dorada hurdles him, hits a PK, and connects with a massive moonsault off the ring post to the floor.
Dorada rolls him in and hits a 450 Splash — Ciampa kicks out. Dorada lands a leg lariat, goes for a handspring, but Ciampa cuts him off with a low dropkick and hits Project Ciampa for the closest near fall of the match. Ciampa sets for the Psycho Driller, but Dorada flips out into an electric chair neckbreaker for two. Dorada climbs for a moonsault, Ciampa gets the boots up, lowers the knee pad, charges — and eats a roundhouse kick. Dorada tries another kick but gets caught in the ropes. Ciampa hits Widow’s Bell and follows with the running knee to secure the win.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa — earns the #1 spot in the TNT Title Casino Gauntlet at Dynasty
The Dogs Send a Message
The Dogs are backstage reflecting on their loss in last week’s eight‑man tag on Collision — but they’re not worried. They have “two bodies.” We cut to Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong laid out. Gabe Kidd says The Conglomeration have no one left, and wonders how Mistico & JetSpeed think they can run the Trios division when a three‑headed dog is ready to bite their heads off. Clark Connors says the pack is back together and steals Cassidy’s sunglasses. David Finlay says that on Collision, they’re coming for their bodies and their gold.
We will return after a break with more results from the April 8, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Thekla Sends a Message to Jamie Hayter
Lexy Nair is backstage with Thekla, who says the kingdom has changed — and Jamie Hayter will never touch the Women’s World Title again now that Thekla is champion. She calls Hayter “the dumbest b*tch there is” and promises to prove it at Dynasty.
Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Address FTR
Adam Copeland says jealousy and pettiness are what destroyed Rated FTR. FTR claimed they were living in Copeland’s shadow, glorified henchmen — but Copeland says that wasn’t his fault, that was reality slapping them in their “cold, dumb faces.” At Dynasty, the C&C Dynasty take their rightful place as AEW Tag Team Champions.
Christian Cage tells FTR to sit down and shut up wherever they are, because he’s conducting business. FTR didn’t just piss off Cage and Copeland — they pissed off the entire country of Canada. As everyone’s favorite father figure, Cage says they’ve been very naughty… so naughty that he paid a visit to both of their mothers. Just so there’s no confusion, Cage says he banged them both. And he doesn’t want Stokely Hathaway’s mother to feel left out — when he visits her, it’ll be as one half of the Tag Team Champions.
FTR and Stokely walk onto the stage — and RPG Vice blindsides Copeland and Cage in the ring. FTR joins Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero in the beatdown. RPG Vice smash a chair into Copeland’s ribs, and Beretta drills him with a running knee. Wheeler escapes a Killswitch and sends Cage stumbling into a belt shot from Stokely. FTR hold Cage up as Stokely Spears him.
They place Cage’s arm through a chair. Stokely steals Cage’s watch. Wheeler leaps — and Pillmanizes Cage’s arm. FTR stand tall with the Tag Team Titles as Excalibur calls for medical help for Christian Cage.
Results for AEW Dynamite on April 8, 2026 continue after another break.
Darby Allin Speaks
Darby Allin says people think he has a death wish, that he doesn’t care about anything — but it’s the opposite. He cares too much. He’s scared that maybe he can’t win the big one, can’t be the face of AEW, because to do that, you have to be World Champion. Andrade doesn’t understand what he’s stepped into on Sunday. Whoever walks out between Omega and MJF, Darby needs this win more than anything. In a world that constantly tells you you’re not enough, Darby says he is enough — and he needs this more than anyone can imagine.
Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Daniel Garcia) vs. The United Empire (Will Ospreay, Callum Newman, Henare & Francesco Akira) — Chaos in Canada
Excalibur notes Ospreay won the IWGP Title at 28, while Newman just won it at 23. The Death Riders attack during the Empire’s entrance. Ospreay hits Pip Pip Cheerio off the guardrail on Moxley. Castagnoli gorilla‑presses Akira on the stage into a knee breaker. Alex Windsor rushes out and brawls with Marina Shafir. Henare gets the same treatment as Akira — but Akira returns with a ladder, smashing Castagnoli, Garcia, and PAC before setting it up in the ring. Akira climbs and dives off the top of the ladder onto the pile, with Castagnoli clutching his ankle.
United Empire stays in control, setting up a table ringside and dissecting the Death Riders. PAC hits a neckbreaker on Ospreay, then trades lightning‑quick counters with Akira until Akira hits a huge leg lariat. Newman and Ospreay hit double dives on Moxley and Castagnoli, then pull out another table and the ring steps. They try a double suplex through the table, but Castagnoli saves it — launching Newman into the barricade and catching Ospreay mid‑air for a backbreaker.
The Death Riders take over. Akira gets triple‑teamed with corner strikes. Newman shoots in with a double‑leg on Castagnoli but gets mauled. Moxley bites Ospreay’s ear. Henare eats locomotion strikes until he explodes with clotheslines for everyone. Henare drags Garcia up the steps — but Castagnoli saves him again, catching Henare mid‑air, walking him around ringside, and suplexing him through a table on the opposite side.
Moxley brings out kendo sticks, breaks them, and rakes the jagged edges across Ospreay’s back before trying to stab him in the eye. Ospreay fights it off, so Moxley jams the broken stick up Ospreay’s nose, drawing the exact chant you’d expect. A table is set in the corner. Moxley flips off the crowd and spikes Ospreay with a piledriver. He sinks in a rear naked choke, but Ospreay escapes just as Henare blasts Moxley with a running knee.
Everyone hits the ring and unloads bombs. Castagnoli clears Henare. Newman drops Castagnoli. PAC hits the bounce‑back German on Newman. Akira wipes out PAC. Garcia boots Akira. Ospreay goes for Hidden Blade on Moxley, but Garcia catches him in the Dragon Tamer and Moxley hits a Curb Stomp. Garcia covers — Newman breaks it and sends Garcia outside.
Akira stands toe‑to‑toe with Moxley until he’s turned inside out by a lariat. Newman and Moxley slug it out. Newman hits a rolling elbow, thrust kick, and joins Ospreay for dueling Oscutters on Moxley and Garcia for a double near fall. Castagnoli saves Moxley from a Tiger Driver and hits the Giant Swing. Henare plants PAC with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Akira tries a slingshot dive on Castagnoli, gets caught, and is carried up the steps — but Henare saves him, tackling Castagnoli through the table.
Akira tries to put Garcia through a table — it doesn’t break. He tries again with a double stomp — still doesn’t break. Newman flies off the top with a splash on PAC through another table. Ospreay and Moxley are left alone. Ospreay goes for Pip Pip Cheerio but lands into multiple Paradigm Shifts. Moxley tries a fourth — Newman returns with a lariat and sets Moxley up in the corner. Ospreay blasts him through the table with a Hidden Blade. Ospreay and Newman pile on for the pin.
Winners: The United Empire
Post‑match, Newman tells Ospreay to finish Moxley. Ospreay smiles and prepares to — but Castagnoli dives in and drags Moxley to safety. The Death Riders are left in a heap as Ospreay stares them down.
Kenny Omega Career Retrospective
A full video package airs, mirroring MJF’s earlier one — chronicling Omega’s rise from ROH and PWG to DDT and New Japan, then AEW, where he became the first Triple Crown Champion. It highlights how diverticulitis nearly ended his career and life. A phenomenal, emotional reel.
Kenny Omega & MJF — Final Face‑Off
Tony Schiavone introduces Kenny Omega, who walks out in a sharp suit to a huge ovation. Omega says being here feels nostalgic — 25 years of wrestling, starting with long drives to indie shows. Last week, he almost lost his cool if not for Speedball Bailey. It wasn’t the Ibushi comment or the diverticulitis line — he’s heard that every week. Sympathy got old. What set him off was MJF mocking his nicknames. Omega never gave himself those names — the fans did.
AEW used to be a concept: a place where the best wrestle. What made MJF famous was flapping his gums. Omega remembers when he talked his sh*t, but anything MJF can do, Omega can do better. Maybe MJF should be the one pissed — because all he can do is talk. He could never do what Omega did in Japan or tell the stories Omega told.
Omega says he realizes now why he snapped — he felt like AEW was all on his shoulders. But it’s not just his legacy. It’s everyone’s. The fans deserve a champion who wears the belt with pride. Omega says he will take the title from MJF and start righting the wrongs Max has committed. At Dynasty, it will be MJF’s last defense — that he can promise.
MJF arrives on a Burberry carpet. He says Omega talks like he’s going to beat him in 2026 — and he almost believed it. Omega is getting better at talking. Fans want to believe in Omega because they’re terrified this might be his last shot. MJF says it will be. The clock is ticking on Omega’s career. He beat Omega the first time when Omega claimed he was at 70%. What’s the excuse going to be Sunday when he’s allegedly 100%? Omega will learn what everyone else has — you bring your best, and you still aren’t on the level of The Devil. In front of Canada and the world, their God will fall and the Devil will rise.
Omega says he learns more about MJF every time they speak. He mockingly calls him “pal,” tells him to let bygones be bygones, and give the photographers what they want — shake Omega’s hand. MJF pretends to leave, then tries a cheap shot — Omega blasts him with a V‑Trigger. Omega steps on MJF’s hand, removes the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and puts it on his own finger. He says he’s studied MJF and saw this coming a mile away. At Dynasty, it won’t be MJF hitting his line — it’ll be Omega bidding everyone adieu.
Goodbye. Goodnight. Bang.
Omega drops the ring on MJF’s chest and walks up the ramp as MJF struggles to recover.
End of Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite Preview – April 8, 2026
Fresh off her successful TBS Championship defense against the returning Hikaru Shida on the April 2 episode of AEW Collision, Willow Nightingale is wasting no time getting back to work. Tonight, she puts the title on the line once again—this time against Queen Aminata. This marks Aminata’s first in‑ring appearance since she and Jamie Hayter were eliminated by Sisters of Sin in the quarterfinals of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament during the Fright Night Dynamite special on October 29, 2025. With months away from competition and a championship opportunity in front of her, Aminata enters tonight with everything to gain.
Last Wednesday’s Dynamite also saw the shocking return of Chris Jericho, who told his hometown Winnipeg crowd that he was “home”—both in the city and in AEW. With emotions running high and questions swirling about his intentions, Jericho is set to appear again tonight with something he intends to address.
Before he challenges MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynasty this Saturday, Kenny Omega will also be appearing with thoughts of his own. Omega and MJF made their title match official last Wednesday during a tense contract signing that quickly devolved into a heated verbal clash. Later that night, “Speedball” Mike Bailey attempted to defend Omega’s honor in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match but fell short against MJF. With Dynasty looming, Omega’s message tonight could set the tone for the entire weekend.
In trios action, AEW National Champion Jack Perry teams with Brody King and Darby Allin to battle The Don Callis Family’s Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis, and Konosuke Takeshita. Perry, King, and Omega scored a victory last Wednesday over The Demand’s Ricochet, Bishop Kanu, and Toa Liona, but Allin’s situation remains far more complicated. Despite Allin’s relentless pursuit of MJF’s AEW World Championship, MJF has enlisted the Don Callis Family to keep Allin as far away from the title picture as possible. Tonight’s match may be Allin’s best chance to break through that wall.
