Matt Hardy Predicts Career-Defining Win For Oba Femi At WrestleMania 42

Matt Hardy believes Oba Femi could reach a major milestone in his WWE career if he defeats Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy shared his thoughts on the match and its importance for Femi’s future. He described a potential victory over Lesnar as a defining moment that could elevate Femi to a new level within WWE.

“I think too, this is going to be like a career defining moment for Oba,” Hardy said. “You know, they do this, and he beats Brock, and it is a career-defining moment, no doubt about it.”

Hardy also spoke positively about how WWE has handled Femi since his arrival on the main roster. He noted that the company has presented him well and avoided early missteps that can often slow down new talent.

“I do not have anything to be critical of so far,” Hardy said. “They have done a good job with him and the way they present him. He has got something going on. And I think even putting him on podcasts, those are really good for new acts. That humanizes them. It lets you peer inside the actual human being that is behind the performer.”

Hardy pointed to the key moment that helped spark the WrestleMania program, when Femi made a strong statement by taking down Lesnar in a quick and decisive fashion.

“That angle of him coming out and dropping Brock just like that, so quickly and explosively, was a big deal for him,” Hardy said.

He added that he expects WWE to handle the match outcome carefully, given its importance.

“I am very confident they will do the right thing,” Hardy said.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium. The match between Femi and Lesnar is expected to be one of the key bouts on the card, with significant implications for Femi’s long-term position in WWE.
