MJF Pulled From Beyond Wrestling Appearance Due to Knee Injury

MJF will no longer appear at Beyond Wrestling’s scheduled event this Friday night after suffering a knee injury on AEW Dynamite.

The AEW World Champion had been advertised to face Bobby Orlando at the promotion’s June 5 event in Cranston, Rhode Island. However, Beyond Wrestling announced that MJF is unable to compete after hyperextending his knee during his Dynamite match.

“Unfortunately @The_MJF hyperextended his knee during his match last night & is not medically cleared to travel or compete. He will not be in Cranston tomorrow night but assured me he will wrestle for Beyond Wrestling as soon as his schedule allows. We wish him a speedy recovery.”

The injury occurred during MJF’s successful AEW World Championship defense against Rush on the June 3 episode of Dynamite. Despite the setback, MJF was able to finish the match and retain his title.

At this time, there is no confirmation regarding the severity of the hyperextension or whether it will impact any upcoming AEW appearances. The situation remains fluid as more information is expected in the coming days.

According to Bryan Alvarez, the injury is legitimate but may not be serious. He shared the following update:

“MJF injury is legit but they’re hoping it’s not serious”

The injury comes as AEW continues building toward a future AEW World Championship match between MJF and Mark Briscoe. It remains to be seen if this development will affect those plans.

For now, MJF’s Beyond Wrestling appearance is officially canceled, with the champion expected to return to the promotion at a later date once he is medically cleared.
